    Wallabies world cup squad selection

Couldn't agree more with this comment. I think bring JOC (James O'Connor) infield one position will give him a little more room (ie: setting up McCabe try last weekend). Would love to see Mitchell fit again and playing outside JOC (James O'Connor). Would love to see Ant Finger at IC running off Cooper as I believe he understands...

    Tri Nations Game 4 South Africa v Australia - Saturday 13 August 2011 - 3N2011

The first 20 minutes was a little deja vue for me which had me nervous. The performance was not what we were all hoping for but I am thinking that they managed to finally get on top and will be coming home with a win. Their performance was an improvement over last week which is a positive and I...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Nice call Riptide....didn't get that far into watching the replay to see your example, but it does look like the same offence with a similar result which is a shame. It is one thing for those type of infringements to go unnoticed but when there is an obvious advantage gained and points results...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Anyone catch this during the game?.......watch how Cooper is taken out of play and held down while Weepu darts up the sideline. 3 or 4 quick phases later they scored try #1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8kvN82xUZ8&t=4m8s Don't think it was premeditated by any stretch, more so sloppy refereeing.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Yes, it wasn't kosher for a few reasons IMHO. I believe he knocked it on at first. The he released and played at the ball again before getting to his feet. Should have been AUS scrum or penalty. Not sure what the proper interpretation of the law is but I am not a fan of players sealing the ball...

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

Just watched the first 5 minutes of the match again before being called to get the kids out of the tub. The boys were doing very nicely and it was a solid start. The rot started with Coopers pass that was intercepted and the ensuing phase play result in points for the ABs. Not sure if anyone...

    Rocky Elsom professional camper...

In previous matches, I have been critical of our backs ability to provide any type of effective clean-out or even basic ball security when the ball goes to ground out wide but I felt that did a much better job last night. They need to commit another body or two OR get the ball out of there...

The positives & failings from Bledisloe 1 2011

How about Higgers....LOL....no seriously. Nothing more irks me than after 3 passes wide of the ruck and some space in front, the ball ends up in the hands of a tight forward. Why can't they learn to drop back from the attacking line a few steps, let the backs or a big loose fwd have the darn...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Blown off the park - not so much. Blown off the scoreboard - absolutely. The ABs converted their opportunities during the first half whereas we left the points out there. The best team won tonight, no doubt about it but at least we have something to work on this week. Looking forward to seeing...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

I like the sound of that. Maybe Finger could get a start over McCabe too??? The only criticism I have of Higger is her is very loose when packing. He offer nothing on the hit and the scrum looked far less stable while he was on.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

There are some positives to take away from the game in there somewhere. Vickerman impressed me while he was on - more physical and effective at the breakdown IMHO...Simmons failed to impress me. and looked out of condition - lots of walking and often struggling to get back onside before the next...

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

There are some promising signs but it isn't looking too good right now. Hoping Mr Deans can get them back on track at the break. They look very nervous - QC (Quade Cooper) especially. I like the look of the scrum and our ball looks relatively safe at the breakdown which is promising. The attack seems a little...

World Cup 2011 - General Comments & Questions

Can anyone recall a world cup when NZ were not the odds-on favorites to take the title? I am not being facetious, just curous.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Anyone have any thoughts on the defensive form of the AB outside backs??? From what I see, both Jane and Mils have looked pretty ordinary lately and both were bloody terrible in the Hong Kong match. Wondering how Gear is rated generally - is he generally considered a solid defender?

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

Watched a lot of footy over the years and I can't recall feeling so anxious before a game. Have been watching the clock and counting down till kick-off for several hours now. Gosh it is going to be a miserable bloody Sunday should we get spanked. Positive thoughts Ben Positive thoughts. Can...

Predictascore: Dad's Antopidean Army vs The Breakdancing Young 'uns - CuzzyBroville

Wouldn't that be an absolute cracker to watch....yes please. I think a come-from-behind win over the AB's would be even more devastating to the Kiwis than lead early and hold on. That would certainly show the world that this team has some mettle.

    Tri Nations Game 3 New Zealand v Australia - Saturday 6 August 2011 - 3N2011

I agree with RV as historically it seems as though this has been the case, but maybe that is the difference between this team and those that have gone before. Maybe this mob have more self belief and are less "in awe" of the AB's. A great Super 15 season by the Reds has strengthened this...
