I would have given him another 10, but point taken.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Eh? You're talking to a Wallaby fan fella. Exits should go out? At the half way line? Come on let's be realistic.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

Not sure what Tupou is meant to do there. Wasn't exactly pushing, just holding his weight let alone not using straight.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

I was hunting through the stats and it really screams out. Runs SA 173: Aus 64 Completely agree that the key issue in this game was possession - 37% Kicking game must improve, chasers must improve, re-gaining the ball must improve. Next game is going to be interesting.

    Awesome first scrum back Tupou.

Australia A - Back on the Cards

There is no doubt the "third set piece" ie the exit, needs a heap of improvement.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

I’m hoping it is more rotational. I thought Frost more active than Skelton. Why on earth continue with this inaccurate comical characterisation? Wanting a kicking game and wanting to play territory is a foundation of international rugby. Now, doing it well and implementing a plan to regain...

Springboks v Wallabies, Loftus Versfeld, Sun 9th Jul 1.05am AEST

I like the thinking, but as it turns out it would have had nil impact. Uelese had 3 line outs, he was penalised for not straight on two, we won the remaining throw with Samu jumping.

Of course there is merit in an interstate club comp. Unfortunately there are also challenges. How you tie in the SRU clubs with the seemingly no-end politics is one. The step in quality to Super is another - this suggests there should be a different comp which targets reps from the club scene -...

    Wallabies 2023

I don't know. If Quade simply watches the same footage and then describes the opportunity he sees - let the youngster Q&A it. I think it's valuable. Reading it in real time is different but that exposure sure isn't going to hurt. As it turns out I think Carter has good vision too.

    Wallabies v Argentina @ CommBank Stadium 7.45pm Sat 15/07

Got to agree with that. For me though the issue is throw and scrummage are absolutes. I don't agree with selecting a hooker on field work + (say) scrummage but can't throw. Shouldn't make the list if the base isn't there.

    Wallabies 2023

What Quade can offer any Fh wanting to be world class is reading a game. What he sees, why, and what he sees in the opportunities. it doesn't even matter if the "trainee" will adopt the specifics, just that his thinking is opened up to where Quade's head is going. Invaluable.
