    Round 5 : Reds v Force, Suncorp Stadium, 20 March 6.45

If only we could get the Tahs somewhere close. Enjoyed that.

    Waratahs 2021

Did it fail? I'm currently watching a game littered with players that emerged through it. Same for last night. Considering it was cost neutral and has produced a generation of young players I'd say it was very successful. They only groups that failed to take advantage of it or had any issues...

    Waratahs 2021

It's simple as far as I'm concerned. I think scrapping the NRC is a mistake. It has proven to be a fertile breeding ground for talent. They should be looking at every avenue to maintain it. If that means allowing the likes of the SRU to have a rep squad involved I'm happy for that to occur...

    Waratahs 2021

I actually have what I think would be an interesting idea. Perhaps we could expand this kind of game. To have two teams from Queensland, one from the ACT, Melbourne and Perth. They could then play each other to determine who is the best. We could called it something the the National Rugby...

    Waratahs 2021

Mate, I am an avid Shute watcher as well. Outside of Morea and maybe Newsome the Tahs guys are significantly better than the guys you've presented. But I think there's a way to test you hypothesis. Have a series of games featuring the Tahs extended squad vs a SRU rep squad.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

No one is going to take you to task around the broadcast question. Most of the issue has been the idea that we needed to emulate the A-League in structure. We don't. The A-League is still struggling this season much as they did last season. Super Rugby Au is comfortably out rating it on FTA and more...

    Waratahs 2021

The question of why we have to operate 20% under the cap even though there's a compensation deal in place while the SFS is redeveloped has to be answered. All while of direct competitors are operating at 100%. That's a back of house issue. Poor management by the key decision makers on the...

    Waratahs 2021

They are severely lacking anyone willing to take a leadership role on the field. The hole Hooper has left has been staggering. There has also been a really poor management of the organisation that has forced it to have to cut back on talent spend. Which must be addressed.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

The simplest way forward would be to use the extended squads from the franchises in the form while giving both the Sydney and Brisbane clubs the right to select and operate their own representative squad using players not contracted to a professional franchise.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I wonder whether a similar concept to the Own the Force initiative could ever work with something similar to the NRC.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

He gave away a silly penalty. He had no right to even think he could get shirty the twat.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

Pathetic. THey literally stood there watching as three of them struggled for position.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

I don't want to be pessimistic. But everything I said in my original post is emanating through the screen at me. It's palpable.

Do you still believe I'm too early?

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

Morea was actually backpedalling into the contact there. Before completely overshooting his attempted clear out.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

Mate, I've watched the other two thrashing they've copped. And the signs are all there. We have a 100% kicker and we go with Maddocks. WE just had the ball in the Rebels 22 and at no time did anyone take control of the situation and drive anything that looked dangerous.

    Round 5: Rebels v Tahs - Friday 19/3, AAMI Park, 7:45pm AEDT

There's something very wrong with the Tahs squad. Rudderless. Aimless. Heartless. No leadership. No intelligence. No nothing.

Super Rugby Au Rnd 3 Waratahs vs Force 5th March, Sydney

Not necessarily before such a franchise is established. At a minimum as the franchise is established. The goal of such a franchise should be to draw players back from overseas initially while the systems are set up and development works undertaken. I actually think such set ups would have an...
