    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

Kingston was injured at the start of the season, not sure now. But he won't force out Shipperley, and will be hard pushed to push out English and Naivalu ("local" boy playing very well) for the other wing spot. In the centres, both Inman and Ellison would be ahead of him now, and Mikey Mike...

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

Yeah, Gill will probably be gone for about four to five weeks I'd say, plus one for the bye. It'll be like a 6 to 7 game suspension, plus 2 for deterrent, take a couple for contrition, take a couple for a clean record.

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

I disagree entirely. Sio had Talakai under huge pressure, but I didn't think that Alexander had the better of Slipper, not even close (the commentators agreed). It looked like the opposite to me, despite Slipper's neck issue. On several of those scrums Slipper went slightly forward, but Sio...

Gill will definitely be cited, as Larkham has stated that the Brumbies will be reporting Gill to the citing commissioner.

Oops, the above two posts should be in the Coaching Options (etc etc) thread.

    Reds 2015

If Graham isn't gone before the bye, then I think an armageddon will be needed to have him removed. It's hard to tell from the outside, but the board seems to be still too accepting of his continual excuses.

    Reds 2015

I think Chris Kuridrani was the Reds best player tonight. There wasn't a lot to say about most of the rest of them, however. Horwill was a bit shakey at lineout time, but otherwise he's one of the few Reds that I thought still tried hard.

    Coaching Options for Qld Rugby

As I posted in the match thread, I still saw the Reds just shoveling on the ball in attack. One inside pass that I can recall all night, no changes of angle, no offloads (that I can recall, that is). So easy to defend against. Meanwhile, the Brumbies, when they stepped up a gear, had...

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

The Reds have nothing in attack. There's no variation. It's all just shovel it out to the guy wider. I think I saw one inside ball all night, and zero changes of direction or angle. Pretty sure there were no offloads as well. The Reds one break of the night came from a guy beating 4...

2015 IRB Junior Rugby World Cup - Italy

I also don't recall Lolo playing for Qld Country in the NRC; I thought he spent all of it injured. I thought Ben Adams started all games. Yeah, Korczyk got a lot of time off the bench in the NRC and went all right. He's not far off a lock in height, but he's not quite built like one. I was...

Surely the performance in the Brumbies game has placed immense pressure on Graham.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Tahs have run it back to the Clan 22, but then knock if on. Ben Smith kicks it out, and the Clan take a bonus point win, with the Tahs salvaging a bonus point in the last couple of minutes.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

3 minutes left, Tahs playing for a bonus point. They drive the Clan scrum back, but it's cleared. Folau breaks a tackle, finds his wing on the outside, who then finds Hoiles on the inside to score untouched. Foley kicks it, and it's 26 - 19 with 1 minute to go. That try was all Folau, and...

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

High pass from Phipps thrown hard inside from Foley to Carraro goes down. If Carraro caught that he was in, but that pass was a bullet from Foley leaving Carraro no chance, and in turn the pass from Phipps to Foley was way too high making Foley's job too hard.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Penalty Tahs off the first scrum, and they take another. With 5 minutes left and a scrum a minute, wrong tactic in my book.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Hooper seagulling at the back of the maul with the ball. No sight on the grounding, TMO and Joubers rule held up. Maybe a little unlucky there.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Tahs maul it and go over, Joubers checking the grounding. Joubers says he didn't see any grounding.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Break from Lousi from the Tahs 22. Then the Tahs go backwards, until another break from Horne. Tahs are playing basketball rugby now chasing an unlikely draw. 6m out 7 to go and 14 points down. Ryan drops it, but Tahs had advantage for offside.

    Highlanders v Waratahs - R5, 2015

Lucky for the Tahs that ball took a bounce to the right, or that was a try from a little Aaron Smith grubber. All reserves out for the Tahs now. Chapman hasn't been bad at all off the bed.

    Reds vs Brumbies - Rd 5, 2015

That will improve our reserve scrum, but Paraka's work rate is well down on Daley's.
