    2013 Spring Tour

I know that the ARU are cash strapped but surely, given its a Lions year, there must be a trade off of the money against the long term fitness of their front line Wallaby players in the instance of organising this additional Welsh game

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Well if the back row of the opposition weren't bound and my team won because of that I'd question the stupidity of them for giving away such a schoolboy penalty. Whether it is a "match winning" offence or not isn't the question its why referees ignore obvious law breaches when the game is in the...

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

It wouldn't have been rough it would have been correct call. Which part of wasting the last 4 minutes of a season defining game for both team over a series of scrums when the referee could have given 4 different penalties is alright?

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Yeah I'd agree with that let the emotion get the better of me by suggesting that, but he totally bottled that whole scrum sequence there were probably 3 penalties to the Tahs and 1 to the 'Saders in those 4 minutes. He gave the 4th penalty that he could of IMO.

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

I think it was the second scrum the Crusaders back row weren't bound Jackson bottled the call, penalty with 2 minutes to play after the kick. Who knows what would have happened. I'd agree with Richo we've cost ourselves 6 points this week and last, not to mention other close loses and missed...

The Sebastian Chabal Effect: Giving a Youtube moment of 30 seconds of brilliance that casual fans will love, forgetting that there are 79 mins and 30 seconds of anonymity ignoring their primary role, Tom Croft is a prime subscriber to this one. The Lions would probably be best giving SOB one...

FFS twice in a row last minute goal kicking lets us down. Glen Jackson should have given that scrum penalty a good 3 minutes before he did, kiwi ref in hometown shocker I suppose

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

The Waratahs got 2 passes and a fly hack on a knock on advantage, Crusaders got rucks with clean ball Big kick Barnes....C'mon!!

Waratahs Crusaders Friday 31st May 5:40pm AEST

Glen Jackson has made some strange calls, the length of the knock on advantage hasn't been consistent for a start

    2013 Spring Tour

I'd still back the Wallabies for 4 wins even factoring in the inevitable injuries that occur. The quality of international rep NH rugby is probably at the overall lowest since professionalism, one of Wales or Ireland will win hopefully it will be Ireland given the Joe Schmidt factor.

    2013 Spring Tour

The WRU and the ARU really love whoring their teams out don't they, the Welsh try to undermine their regions at every opportunity by playing games when there are Rabo games scheduled and the ARU should probably only go for 3 games given they're playing the Lions, 3 Bledisloe games and long haul...

Indeed, from an Irish perspective, I'd place Declan Kidney, Eddie O'Sullivan and maybe even Michael Cheika in that club.

    Waratahs 2014

Just to add to this, I don't watch Shute Shield beyond the live game on ABC occasionally, are there young guys out there who fit this bill?

Given its a short tour he can't get that long to get some form, taking him is a big gamble. The Lions are short of options at 6 given Croft suffers from the Chabal effect and SOB is struggling with an injury.

    Waratahs 2014

Disappointed that Foley has left, I don't think they would have let him go if they hadn't already got Beale or maybe even JOC (James O'Connor) signed. Going to have to trust Cheika on this one.

    NSWRU and referee getting sued

As a member/employee of a rugby club is she not insured against this kind of thing?

Who will be this tours Shane Williams do you reckon? Williams got the most game time of any player in '09 because the management wanted to go him the best chance of getting some form when he was painfully out of form, Phillips or Lydiate for me.

B&I Lions v Barbarians, Hong Kong, Sat 1st June, 9:30pm AEST

St Sam and Gethin Jenkins injuries have probably messed up Gatlands plans for this one. Surprised to see Sexton on the bench, thought Hogg as 3rd choice 10 would get some time there. There is zero creativity in the Lions starting 23 probably only Sexton aside, the BaaBaas have a fantastic chance...
