    NSW AAGPS 2019

I wish I had your confidence that RA stepping in to anything would make the situation any better. In fact all evidence is to the contrary. While school rugby mightn't be perfect, it's going better than most aspects of Australian rugby. So i'm more than happy for RA to stay well away from...

    NSW AAGPS 2019

As I've noted before, the only way that there is going to be a rugby revival at High is with a change to the enrolment process. At the moment they have no discretion; they must offer places to boys based solely on their score in the Selective Schools Placement Test. What should happen is that...

    NSW AAGPS 2019

The rugby programme there is very good and Lambo has restricted or blocked many non-traditional sports. Unfortunately, Newington has gradually allowed a whole range of options from Year 9 onwards which aren't really team sports at all and have also allowed AFL in which just takes numbers from...

    The Israel Folau saga

He's certainly undergone a change based on what, we don't know. As I understand what he is now saying is nothing particuarly different from many people who have undergone a religious awakening over the years. That is, much of his life to this point has been preoccupied with things of this...

    The Israel Folau saga

Although I tend to think that 99% of people who read his posts are either committed followers of his church group or people monitoring trying to catch him out. I can't honestly imagine any of the groups mentioned in the post in question following him. I'm not on twitter, but from what other...

Cranbrook beat Grammar 60-0 last week, so either Cranbrook are very strong or Grammar are very weak or both. They do a good job down there at Cranbrook as they don't have the depth of numbers that some other schools do but more often than not are quite competitive. This year they look to be a...

Three fields on site at Stanmore, plus the desolation of Tempe for the 14s. Hopefully Lachlan Fear can get a second field better and closer than Tempe. Marrickville Oval was used a few years back and is much better for rugby. When Scots did it in the past it meant that the 16As were at...

No worries. A little typo can make a big difference.:)

    NSW AAGPS 2019

Last home game of the year all Newington opens games play on the main ground. I think that Scots do the same thing.

Stop the presses and hold all tickets. As Jim has correctly pointed out, Cranbrook are playing TAS this Saturday not Alos. Cranbrook should be too good

You're right Jim, my apologies. Cranbrook v TAS at Rose Bay (I mistook the A on the abbreviated for Alos when it is obviously meant to be TAS) Tough assignment for your boys. Cranbrook seem to have a great 1sts squad this year and are coached by Brad Gill.

You asked a question and I gave you the answer. I'm not going to expand on it here as it's not the time or the place. If you really want to discover, go back to find it in the threads from the time. It's ancient history though and not really worth discussing. The sports staff who were a...

Augustine's will be a challenge as always, but I couldn't help but notice that Waverley beat them in 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, 16As, 16Bs, 15As, 14As and some other lower age group games. 13A was the only A game that StAugs won. Highly unusual for St Augustines' to lose that many higher grade matches...

    Cranbrook didn't like Lambert's methods.

    NSW AAGPS 2019

I wouldn't call 7 tries to 2 a couple of tries and Newington had about a third of their best players out. Still, only time will tell and Shore may well be in for a stellar season and I could have completely misread the situation.

I actually went onto the thread to see the score. Glad your twitter feed was buzzing.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I think that there's only a small and ever diminishing group of people in Australia who are interested in super rugby. What's happening in Melbourne is the same as that which is happening in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

It's not that they get a benefit, they just don't care. As an aside, neither super rugby game in Australia on the weekend announced crowd numbers. This usually means that the figures are below the embarrasing. Probably below 5,000 in Canberra and below 10,000 in Melborne.

    RD 13: Brumbies v Sunwolves - 12/5/19 - 4:05pm

You're being hypersensitive. The whole of super rugby is a shambles. If you took the post as a particular shot at the Brumbies that's not how it was intended. EDIT: At least my post has tripled the interest in the thread. My post seems to have excited 16 posts and the game got 8. Says...
