    Lions Watch

PJ is a brave player, you only have to look at how many times he ended up with a bandage around his head for Ireland to see that. He's very good in terms of find gaps or putting someone through a gap in a defence. But like ROG he's a defensive liability simply because the opposition will...

    Waratahs 2013

Not too worried about that Tahs crowds this year. It's a justified reaction from a fan base that had to suffer through years of under achieving and last years dross was probably the final straw for a lot of fans. Now the Tahs have to win those fans back this year. As their performances and...

He was trying to hack a ball on and he caught Rob Kearney's brother Dave in the head with his kick. Looked completely accidental and although it doesn't do much for Dave Kearney, who was stretchered off, it should mean there's no citing for POC.

    Heineken Cup 2013

Fillol got 14 weeks for spitting at Stringer. He'll miss the rest of the season and the first 4 weeks of next season too. Good to see they didn't take this lightly, no room for spitting in the game. I wish they'd also do something about the increased back chat to referees.

    Heineken Cup 2013

Great win from Munster, Quins were well beaten in the end. POC motm with POM not far behind him. Thought ROG did well to recover from missing 2 easy penalties to kick the rest of his points.

    Cringeworthy Kearns/Martin moments.....minutes......hours......

I also liked how they started talking about AFL while the game was still going on. If I wanted to hear people talk about AFL I'd be watching an AFL game.

    Heineken Cup 2013

The first half of Sarries v Ulster was pretty even. Ulster will feel hard done by in relation to Sarries 1st try. A wayward pass from an Ulster player went into touch inside their own 22. Sarries drove over from the resulting lineout. Replays showed that the pass actually hit a Sarries hand...

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

I know there's been speculation about it but here it is from his own lips. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/22022351

    Quick Poll for Tahs Fans

I voted no because a lot of Cheika's problems at Stade stemmed from disagreements between him and the players. At Leinster he was able to ship out or retire guys who didn't buy into his way of doing things and ended up with a squad that believed in what he was trying to do. Although I greatly...

    Heineken Cup 2013

There were talks between Stuart Gallagher who represents the Welsh regions and the English clubs. From what I've read on the topic there's absolutely no chance of the Welsh regions joining the Aviva premiership as it would have to be sanctioned by the RFU who aren't going to do that. Also it's...

    Rugby Bucket List

How big is your brother's place? I have a mental image of England being outnumbered at Twikenham because 50,000 Wallaby fans have been sleeping on the floor at your brother's place.

    Rebels force merge

There are some decent teams being posted but they assume that all the 1st choice players would stick around. With a merger staff at all levels would have to be rationalized. Players would leave for a number of reasons including but not limited to: - If you're going to play for a new team then...

    Rugby Bucket List

Munster versus a touring nation at Thomond Park. The big finals, RWC, HEC and S15. 7s Olympic debut. Lions tour as a Lions fan. Watch a home game for as many HEC and S15 team as you can in one season. Be a home fan for the day, go to their usual pre and post game pubs, join in songs etc. Go to a...

    Reds vs Bulls - Rd6

Reds refusal to set up the DG from a perfect position almost cost them the win there.

    Reds vs Bulls - Rd6

Diggers did well to beat 2 there but he would have gotten more distance with a clearing kick.

    Reds vs Bulls - Rd6

The could swap the Aus Fox commentary team with the guy who does the We Are Red shout over the loud speaker and you wouldn't notice the difference. Both are really annoying and add nothing to your enjoyment of the game.

Coopers performance this week compared to last week is like night and day.

Ewen McKenzie - Life after the Reds

I read your post a little too quickly and I almost had a heart attack. My eyes read up to the second favourite bit, then my brain interjected wondering who is the bookies favourite. Cue my eyes then skipping to the end of your post and seeing Dingo and the resultant near heart attack was only...

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

One of the major problems with the tier system is that it has little to do with world ranking leading to instances such as the one you've pointed out HJ. In terms of Samoa's ranking in relation to them being a Tier 2 nation it doesn't make sense. I think where it does make sense is the fact...

    Heineken Cup 2013

Figured this was the best place to put this, given he's won 3 HECs and the Quarter Finals are coming up. Isa Nacewa is retiring at the end of the season and moving back to New Zealand with his family. For me he's the best player in the world not to have played at a RWC (from the modern era)...
