Brumbies vs Waratahs Super Rugby-R4 2013

Everything the Tahs are doing seems to be at 80% speed as if they're being too careful to try to cut down errors. Doesn't seem a natural pace and they're making errors because of it. Nice try by the Brumbies they could build a winning lead before we get up to speed and match their intensity.

Brumbies vs Waratahs Super Rugby-R4 2013

Finally a chance for some points for the Tahs. Game was getting away from us a bit.

    Hope Pocock is alright.

Commentary team crediting Robbie Deans with more selection nous than he's demonstrated in a long time.

Brumbies vs Waratahs Super Rugby-R4 2013

Yes it's looks really good. Also it's nice to see a change strip that doesn't just use the colours of the 1st strip in different ratios, even if it's just a one off.

Highlanders vs Cheetahs, RD 4 2013

Cheetahs were very good today. Signs of brittle confidence when they went for the 3 instead of the bonus point try towards the end. Can't really blame them with the start they've had to the season and the fact it's their first win over the Highlanders. Poki's performance, some flashes from Ben...

Nice try from Poki to complete his hat-trick.

Highlanders vs Cheetahs, RD 4 2013

Sopoaga had a nightmare. Kicked out on the full twice including at the very start, threw intercept for a try, charged down for another try. He did set up the Highlanders try when he spotted the Cheetahs had no one sweeping and put a well weighted kick in behind close to the line. Finally hooked...

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

Looks like Diggers lost the ball.

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

Very costly reversal if that try is awarded. 8-10 point swing.

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

JOC (James O'Connor) really butchered that one. Looked like they'd exploit the extra man and instead he turned his sidestep into a stumble and almost fell into contact giving the turnover away.

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

Which one of them came out with the "The Reds will be desperate to hold on to the 4 point deficit, in their favour." line in the fist half a minute or so before the Rebels got their try?

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

Silly penalty to give away there especially when the Rebels are trying to stay in touch.

    Rebels v Reds RD 4 2013

Interesting stat there. After 22 minutes the onscreen stat had it QLD 1:58 Vic 0:00. Good indicator of how much the Rebels came back into the game towards the end of the half.

    Hurricanes v Crusaders RD4 2013

Savea's try was excellent and he had a really good game. Hurricanes did well to come back and snatch the win at the end. It was a very exciting game despite the poor overall quality of the game, one of the worst I've seen between 2 NZ S15 team.

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

Very true but sadly I believe that Saracens will be used as the model for many clubs in the future. As more money comes into the game clubs and franchises have to be seen as a good investment for the money men who'll probably have little love for the game beyond the status attached to it...

The dying - perhaps death - of Rugby in Australia.

As an outsider I see part of the problem being the 4 horse race. Competing in the domestic market is obviously important for Aus rugby. However in terms of making money, of the 4, the ARU and the S15 franchises are in the best position to exploit markets outside Australia. The ARU and the S15...

    Lions Tour 2013

Yep D'Arcy has been really poor the last 5-6 years and shouldn't have been picked for Ireland as there have been better options. This season however he rediscovered his form in a big way but then got injured.

    RBS 6 Nations 2013

I have a feel we'll put in a really good performance against the French but it will just be papering over the cracks. Hopefully the decision for Deccie to step down has already been taken because if we win the last 2 games it will be harder for the IRFU to make that call.

    Lions Tour 2013

It's the right decision for the ARU to take with respect to giving Aus the best chance of winning the series. It may or may not impact future tours. I think by the time the Lions hit Aus again in 12 years time it will be a much shortened in country tour with maybe more warm up games played prior...
