My mail tells me that JOC (James O'Connor)'s move overseas is pretty much a done deal because as reported the Force were really the only team interested in acquiring his services but the negotiations haven't been going well for a few weeks now.

Coming from a GPS supporter who has watched Kuridrani for many years, his selection in EPS would have made more sense a couple of seasons ago before he broke his leg. Yes he is still a good player but doesn't have that WOW factor anymore from the 2011(I think) season when he was really a handful.

I have no problem with bringing through these younger blokes who have been playing well in Premier Grade and youth rep levels but I still think if we're looking for a dynamic ball runner in the mould of Samo then we need to be looking outside the state for someone who is already established and...

Very suprised the Reds letting Butler leave. I'm not exactly feeling very confident about our backrow after Saturday night. Shatz probably had one of his poorest games this year but I still think he's reached the peak of his development which is concerning.

Last I heard was that Samo, Frisby and Ant Fainga'a would be playing with the club for the final rounds but obviously that isn't locked in stone, when Fainga'a sticks around as well may also depend on whether the Reds re-sign him or he's off elsewhere.

So with Super Rugby all wrapped up for the Aus teams apart from Brums and Reds, does anyone know of any players from the Rebels or Force who will be returning to Brisbane for club rugby? Ive heard that Rebels flyhalf Bryce Hegarty is flying back to brissy asap and will be seeing out the rest...

Mate sorry I couldn't tell you, was out of town last weekend so didn't catch the game and haven't heard anything from the club. I'll be down at Yoku tomorrow though to watch the boys so i'll ask around and find out.

GPS will be looking good with Frisby, Samo and Kite all playing. Ant Fainga'a was meant to be starting as well but is a late exclusion. Id assume Easts will also have their Reds players ie Quirk and Butler playing

Is the judiciary going a little soft this year? I know Damian Stower the GPS player who received a red card vs Sunnybank on the weekend got off his suspension as well. Not sure about the Sunnybank player though.
