Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

I don't think you have a clue about who,and how much they each invested in each of the franchises. My recollection was the SS clubs were bought out/ withdrew from the Rams franchise as shareholders after the first year? Again,I understand what capital is, what I don't understand is what an non...

Mate, they are just bigger and mature quicker. I heard and embraced the urban myths about many of the islanders using their date of baptism as their birth date (sometimes years apart) Then I saw babies become toddlers become over sized monsters by 8 or 9. In 99% of cases!they are the correct...

I understand that concept pretty well thanks, surprisingly, it contradicts many earlier posts you have made, suggesting that SS clubs added little to NRC teams. Any reason you neglected to expand on your definition of what a non financial minority shareholder might be?

Western Sydney Rams . NRC Official Team Thread

WTF is a non financial minority shareholder? You clearly don't understand what you are talking about. Anyway, time to move on, the landscape has changed, and might change dramatically in the next few years. It's looking like the Rams will be the most likely of the Sydney teams this year.

yes,it is on the public record. 4 of the NRC teams were funded by SS clubs on inception. The actual point being made was that Eastwood chose not to invest, when it was clear that the ARU & the Super clubs would be the beneficiaries, without incurring any of the costs.

Gordon Grade teams will get a lot more from last years colts next year than they did this year. IMO it's much tougher going from colts to grade than it was from School to colts.

Papworth always believed that the ARU were being parasites in getting the 4th tier to fund the 3rd tier, to generate players for the tiers above. With possible significant changes to the 2nd tier on the horizon, the reasons for participating in the 3rd tier are more convincing than before. It...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Seems like a better analogy might be the Great Depression. 0 from 26 v NZ this year, and we still have to live through 3 Test matches against them.

Congrats to Marlins winning both the minor premiership and the shield. But don't get ahead of yourselves, I'm considering backing them to go all the way. I am the king of the coolers,so be warned :)

Is the Manly club backing the Rams? or is it just their coach has been given a role, and is bringing a few of his players with him?

    The Wallabies Thread

I'm not sure who was there when he played his best. But in support of your statement, I recall many posters were calling for a ball playing 12 to 'help QC (Quade Cooper) out' So he obviously had an ordinary sequence of games with a ball running 12.

It happened plenty of times. His problem at Test level was that his error count was too high, and he was defensively weak. But he created plenty of opportunities.

That's a concern. We've now lost no's 2 & 3 in the org chart. Most dont expect no 1 to be extended in the new year. Few organisations lose their top 3 in a 6 month window, regardless of the calibre of the departing execs, that's a substantial amount of IP walking out the door.

Who is suggesting it won't be one of those two? If we are going down that route, lets start hypothesising about picking backrowers at 2, or 9's in the centres.

I'll accept that potting the blazer brigade is unfair on the odd individual. But seriously, this last exchange comes from your defence that a 4th tier game outdrawing a 2nd tier, is due to programming advantages. I respect your right to privacy, but you obviously have a dog in this fight, your...

The only downside I see is that KB (Kurtley Beale) might be a bit if a risk under the high ball. I subscribe to Cheikas theory that jumper numbers shouldn't restrict your role.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

^^^^Good post. It's an interesting concept, shouldn't future potential have a much heavier weighting than current performance (which also feeds into current crowd figures) But that brings up the question how you quantify potential. There are many questions to which there are no definitive...
