A grade rugby club turns over a lot more than a grade cricket club. You have to remember that Grade Rugby clubs have pavilion's/bar's etc which not many grade cricket clubs do.

Clubs should recognise the amount they have to spend on players each season though. So if a club believes they can spend 4 k on a player per match and break even fair enough. But unfortunetly some club administrator's don't recognise when the finances are starting to slip well enough.
