    Wallabies 2021

My guess, FWIW, is that the plan is to look for Lonergan to cause some damage with his mobility, taking a punt that he can hold his own in the set pieces (a bit of an ask, admittedly). He could be a match winner. (Or loser).

We're gunna run 'em off their feet.

How many ex-rugby inside backs are running around in the NRL?

He can tackle better than Quade, that's for sure.

At his best, Foley was okay. Everybody gets excited about the 10 slot because it is so important. Sadly for us there are probably 20 players running around in the NRL who could do the job, after a season or so of acclimatisation. I quite liked Donaldson, the little that I have seen of him.

    Shute Shield 2021

Yep, looks pretty good. A bit sad for us old Woodsmen in some ways, but we had no choice really, we have to go to where our supporters live. Equally exciting is our involvement in the Rugby Academy for Western Sydney.

Nick White is an Eastwood product. Gordon is not.

My neighbour told me a few days ago that her son's team (Bond) is playing today? She must have that wrong.

The only possible alternative to Lolesio at the moment is Hodge.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

League has been offering opportunities for islander kids for many, many, years. Forget about the NRL, have a look at the number of pro and semi-pro clubs at lower levels. Squillions of the buggers. Nothing new in this. BTW, I am talking about islander kids being imported from the islands.

The future of the Men's 7s program

We reached the final of the first World Cup, and had the game won when Andrew Harriman scorched Campo to score the winning try. We have won the series a few times over the years. But we don't have enough Fijians.:)

No, no, no. Certainly not Skelton. He goes well in the slow version of the game, but I cannot see him excelling against the current AB piggies on a very fast track. Apart from anything else, I cannot imagine how he would win a lineout. Maybe Arnold, but I can't see why either of them would want...

Bledisloe #1 New Zealand vs Australia, August 7 2021

Another glaringly obvious choice would be LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) at 6.

As I have said repeatedly, we need three genuine targets.

We must all have watched different games. I saw a Wallaby team who "struggled to beat a 2nd or 3rd ranked French team" perform very creditably indeed against a champion team at their fortress, in front of an overwhelming unfriendly crowd. Not only that, they showed some good patterns in both...

There is absolutely nothing controversial about citing what is factually true.

    Wallabies 2021

True. But I rather think that Rennie would have said that in so many words. My guess is that the three mouseketeers would have been supported by some friends in the team, or at least not opposed by them. Group dynamics and all.
