I think he struggles with the pace of the game and becomes ineffective - he's always a metre behind where he needs to be. Not experienced enough (like Sharpe) to be selective with involvements, so he does a heap of crap ones. It annoyed me too - it was a butchered try.

He kicked really well, and tackled. I do wonder what will happen when we play a team - even Wales next week- who shut down Genia, and Barnes has to make things happen through other means than his boot.

Hooper brings fantastic energy. And he's so effective carrying, drives through traffic, can really turn momentum.

I think Quade has been showing Cooper Vuna how tackling works in rugby. Team works well pivoting off Genia when he gets quick ball and skirts the ruck. Great lines from Ioane and McCabe esp running off him. And it gives Barnes a chance to play kicking 12 at 10, which he does really, really well.

Maybe they should drop White and keep Vuna as half/winger on the 5/2 split bench.
