    2010 Wallaby Report Card

Can't disagree with such a reasonable statement(s). I think everyone within Australia sees the scrum as pretty weak too, tbh. But I'd rather see heads up arses, hookers shearing away from props, locks not binding etc than have a tool with a whistle pre-emptively or incorrectly blow it up - it's...

Then good sir, you misrepresent yourself. Might wanna change your icon to reflect your allegiance.

Gnostic's Wallby Ratings V Le Frog

Uh except KB (Kurtley Beale) not quite that good, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) way better, BB better, Genia I thought still a 6 at best, Bam not that good, Simmo maybe a 6. Bench quite wrong/unpredicted. The others +-1 true.

    Giteau Spitting Dummy again???

BJ do you feel upbeat and positive about that?

    Giteau Spitting Dummy again???

I do think that Bernie could have made Tommy look at least at home in test football, but Gits really was as good as that. He had the passing game, kicking game, solid defence, and as Groucho mentioned just take a look at his highlights reel to remember the way he could cut defences to ribbons...

Shortlist announced for IRB Player of Year

It's funny, I don't think as a PLAYER that McCaw was the best AB, let alone the best in the world...and yet, I am voting for him because of his mesmeric leadership qualities...his fucking aura. To create a cross-code analogy, it's like taking Chris Judd and Dane Swan's baby and instilling it...

Player of the Year: 3-2-1 Wallabies v France, Paris

3 - AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) 2 - SPR (scissors paper rock) 1 - Rock HM Robinson, Moore, Sharpe, JOC (James O'Connor), BB ... et al

    Scrum Talk

Perhaps rather than one extreme or the other Deans (and his co-selectors) wanted to try and get a balance? I disagree with a number of their selections in the front row and elsewhere, but I really don't think they deliberately select anyone for "everything except the scrum"... I also think that...

    Scrum Talk

I think at this point it's worth noting that anything in Gold appears to be damaged goods as far as a lot of international refs go...

    2010 Wallaby Report Card

Sorry, how was the scrum worse with either Slipper/Moore/Alexander or Robinson/Moore/Slipper than at the start of the year when it was a true embarrassment but noone in the North was watching, with Daley/Fainga'a/Ma'afu? They couldn't hold up a tissue box. As a Wallabies fan it's a frustration...

    Cheap way to RWC?

Sounds interesting. Anyone know if it's legit? Mind you, if you're working there probably won't be too much rugby happening but still...

    2010 Wallaby Report Card

Gnostic I say this with no sarcasm, and no insult intended but I see a pass from you as a Credit and gold star for effort from many markers - you are understandably demanding and have very high standards. With a pass mark from you, the Wobs should feel they've had a fairly successful 2010. I...

    2010 Wallaby Report Card

Besides the idea that Mitchell is "turning into" a great finisher (given he's been that since 2007 and before), I fairly much agree with Cyclo on pluses and minuses. I think actually the kick-chase improved significantly through the tour, too. On the actual point, I'd say yes we are contenders...

    Scrum Talk

I agree with both Langers and cyclo. The fence is firmly wedged up my behind on this one. However, it is always good to get feedback from those within the machine, regardless of anything else.

    James Slipper

Agree with the general sentiment that he's not yet but he could (probably will) be. Robinson was better than him in scrums at LHP and around the paddock when they were both on today, and he was only playing about 75% of his potential. But Slipper - and this is scary - might be hitting his peak...

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

    France vs Wallabies, EOYT 2010

So they'll be in, like, 3rd grade? Soon they can write with pens and make papier mache. I think it will be more of the same - we will struggle with [insert facet] of our game, turning the match into an arm-wrestle in which [player] has trouble with their handling and [player] misses too many...

Anti-Siphoning legislation change... what it means for rugby union fans

Ok you post-hopped me so I hadn't seen this. I accept that a few rugby fans will be happy - the few in regional areas with sufficient reception for digital - but for the "mainstream" rugby fan nothing changes.
