    Wallabies 2020

Re Beale's chip. Yes, it's indefensible, but plenty of players do something crazy on the spur of the moment, under pressure, or trying to create something magical playing catch-up. Like throwing a long cut-out pass behind your own try line, only to have the opposition fall on it and score, and...

The whole Hore thing was a bit disappointing, wasn't it. I listened to him speak a couple of years ago, and had a long chat with him afterwards and was quite impressed, certainly didn't strike me as the sort of bloke who would abandon ship in such a turbulent time without notice like that. Makes...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final England vs Australia

I agree with Seb V, which is why in my side above I selected Kerevi and TK in the centres and Koro and Petaia on the wings. That's a backline built around attack, and if our forwards can give us enough good ball, I think it could cause thePoms some headaches.

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

Great set piece, but a pretty disappointing game apart from that I thought. Ball security and handling atrocious, still giving away to many penalties for high shots, and zero creativity in attack. I thought Rodda was great, along with Latu, Koro a real spark, and To'omua did what he does very...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies v Georgia, Friday 11th October, 9.15pm ADST

This could be our backline against England. Only questions are over the halves (really hope they go well, no other starting pair really have) and whether Petaia can put another good game under his belt and lock down that wing spot. In the pack I think only the back row and reserve tight head...

    RWC Pool D - Wallabies vs Uruguay -Saturday October 5 2019 @ 2:15pm

I've been really impressed with what little I've seen of Jordy, just hope this isn't too soon. I also hope he doesn't read GAGR, as the level of expectation on a teenager with only a handful of Super games under his belt is, as so often on here when we haven't seen much of them, completely over...

Locks are interesting, despite BR not rating them. Hanigan actually goes pretty well at Super level, just, at this stage anyway, doesn't make the step up to test rugby. You've got Holloway, the best running lock at the Tahs, who will put pressure on those two, and of course in Simmons & Hanigan...

Not making excuses for Cheika, as I also can be unimpressed with his comments and whinging, however the guy is Lebanese, and people of Mediterranean background being a little overtly emotional and wearing their heart on their sleeve is not altogether unheard of.

    Refereeing decisions

He was an 8, and whatever you think of him as a coach (which is actually a pretty good record up until three years ago) he was a very hard, uncompromising 80 minute forward.
