    The Wallabies Thread

Are you serious? Powell may be no hot shot, but he is the best of a bad bunch. Dempsey was a nothing player this season. Roberston was a nothing player this season. I don't think much of Hanigan either. Is Cheika saying that the form of the Waratahs contingent is based on Gibson's poor...

    Aussie Player Exodus

The counter argument to that is that they took an opportunity that could have been given to Brad Lacey (WA boy and former Aus U20). We let a lot of potential talent slip through the cracks (my reasoning for why we need to concentrate on maximising the NRC). I think back to Jake Ball in WA...

    Aussie Player Exodus

Personally, I think its a non issue. You are talking about two different thinks. 1. Long term Wallabies playing both overseas and in Australia (of which we have just one). 2. Young players leaving before they really fulfill their potential. Problem 2 is the biggest issue. You could name a 23...

    The Wallabies Thread

It's a lot of effort complaining about all of the selection decisions that I would consider poor. I am going to give Cheika the benefit of the doubt on this one. But if we suck as badly as we did in the June tests, I think it is clear that Cheika is a one way train to Nowheresville. That doesn't...

Beale or Hodge back up 10s? Still feel RHP > Hanigan. Why on Earth is Nabuli still there?

    Force 2018

The criteria to survive is to be a team that doesn't rhyme with horse. The Rebels are only in the frame because someone at the ARU is dyslexic.

    Rebels 2018

Damn straight. How long will it be until RSA completely go over to thee PRO12? It is madness to kill off a breeding ground that we will want to rebuild when South Africa pull out. 16 team model that RUPA proposed is the way to go.

    Perth Spirit News

Right. Time to resurrect this old chestnut. Okay so as well as putting in a strong tilt at going back to back, we also need to build depth and combinations in some positions for the Force in 2018 (if we are still there): Props: Vui, Cowan, Daley and Ainsley are all signed on for next year or...

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

Funny, I have no connection to the Shute Shield, but for some reason I thought he played for Norths. From his webpage: CLUB RUGBY HISTORY 2007 – present Wanneroo Districts RUFC (WA) 2009 – 2011 Eastern Suburbs RUFC (NSW) 2005 – 2006 Palmyra Rugby Club (WA) 2004 – 2005 Manly...

Meakes could probably handle starting, but the other four would definitely think for development exposure. I'd be tempted to add Tuttle for the same reason given how shitty some of our 9s have been. I also think RHP deserves a look in. Definitely better than Hanigan IMO.

    Waratahs 2018

Which two Kiwi coaches? Stiles, Larkham and Totality Tony are all Aussies.

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

I wondered that. FMG has long been a sponsor of the Force so I feel like Forrest would have been in the know about our plight. Perhaps it was timed for maximum effect. Or maybe timed so as not to give the players a false sense of security earlier in the season (read lose passion). I am not a...

If this is the end, I am bloody glad and bloody proud to go out with a roar.

Do you think Matt Hodgson practiced his goal kicking in the week?

Sorry. There was a gap missing in this thread and I felt the need to fill it.

Fucking ref. Totally one eyed performance. Hooper getting away with murder and all the Tahs lying all over the ball. @!$#!!!11

Highlanders v Reds, Round 17, July 14. Party at Tony Brown's.

I liked Liam Gill. On past form, he is the kind of player we really need with the Wallabies. With the way the breakdown is currently policed, he offers a more diverse skillset than Pocock but is better at the meat and potatoes than Hooper. Perfect balance.

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

If the Force come to play, I just can't see the Tahs winning this (and I've never said that before). Pack is too lightweight- too many flankers. Feel like we should have the advantage at the set piece. Tahs over us at the breakdown, but perhaps that will matter less if our guys are winning the...

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

Bleh. The Tahs will bounce back and fast. 2007 was the pits and 2008 were finalists. 2012 the pits. 2014 Champions. I get where you are coming from, but I only take delight in knowing this is temporary and wouldn't if I didn't. You could say you shouldn't kick a man when he's down, but that...
