    Waratahs 2018

Reckon Nick Bishop is waaaay off base with this one. People don't think Simmons doesn't have the physical attributes. People think Simmons doesn't use his physical attributes. He has a pearler one in eight games and is pretty average the rest of the time. Always consistent in the scrum and...

    The Wallabies Thread

Also agree. Think DHP is better suited to fullback. I am not 100% convinced that DHP has the speed to be an international winger. Less of an issue for fullbacks. DHP reminds me of Chris Latham, who I always considered to be an absolute legend and great fullback.

    Force 2018

Every team has to be able to win on their day. Cricket scores should be few and far between. This is why Super Rugby is dying. New Zealand have no interest in expanding while South Africa and Australia are arguably getting weaker. The competition is just not really competitive anymore. We...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Jason Johannison. Came to Perth from Joburg aged 8. Switched to AFL from union in teens just as Force came in. Norm Smith medallist 2016.

    Force 2018

Don't know if it has been mentioned elsewhere, but I am loving the fact that our first game back will be on May the 4th. That is a headline waiting to happen.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

So how many of the Force's squad have come from the Shute Shield? As far as I can work out, only one so far. I hardly think many from the Shute Shield are going to prop up the other 5 teams. The Pacific Islanders have their own talent- as have Japan- and there is also scope for South Africans...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

GAGR Poster Forcefield is worried about people in positions of power who think Rugby Union has a future in Australia while we keep doing what we are doing and fail to acknowledge that this is a national sport.

Super Rugby Round 5, Waratahs vs Rebels - Sunday 18 March @ 4pm

Very similar. Noone really likes Americans either.... ;)

    Reds v Bulls: Round 4 - Suncorp

Great to get back to back wins on the board. Vendors should be doling out free heart pills with every beer.

Super Rugby Round 2, 2018: Brumbies vs Sunwolves - Tokyo, 3:15pm (AEDT) 24/2

Yeah fair play. I guess after watching last night's game and most of the first half of this one there is a point to be made. I won't wax on about it. On paper, the score-line should not look like this. And fair enough that on paper isn't the way games are played, but you'd be putting your head...

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

I, too, thought of making a Shiggins joke- wasn't brave enough....

    Force 2018

Incorrect. He left because he was offered around 3 times what ge was on here. The second part is right- at his age and with some of the talent elsewhere, there is snowballs chance. Unless maybe if he moves back to loosehead.

Add Cameron and Harrison Orr and Rodney Iona to that list...

    Reds 2018

Great news for you guys on Lucas. I've always admired him as a player. The kind of guy every squad needs.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Another year with Gibson at the helm will see the Tahs fall back in with the pack.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

See I don't look at it that way. If (and that is a fairly big if at this point in time since the comp won't even start until 2019 and few big name players will commit to it until it looks the goods) any players who would be eligible for the Wallabies chose to play for the Force, presumably there...

What is the biggest mistake made with Australian Rugby?

I would love to see an alternate universe where an NRC was introduced FTA in 2001 after the Lions win when popularity was riding high. With a sensible financial model, how much better would that have prepared things for expansions in Perth and Melbourne.

NRC 2017 Round 4: Fiji Drua vs Perth Spirit - Saturday @3pm AEST

Lots of players in that Spirit side who are young and/or not up to standard. All local comp players on the bench except Prior. Two of our U20s starting. Along with a handful of local/academy starters (Tarawa, Havili, Erasmus, Owen, etc). The Fijians look like a more settled side who did a good...

NRC 2017 Canberra Vikings v Perth Spirit Sunday @ 1pm

No. You must be hearing things. *Buy Forcefield a beer*

NRC 2017 Canberra Vikings v Perth Spirit Sunday @ 1pm

So he'll be in good company with Ned Hanigan, Jack Dempsey and Tom Robertson?
