    Wallabies 2023

It's an interesting perspective, because in 2002 he inherited Macqueen's world beaters, and in 2016 he inherited that pommy rabble and threw everything including the bathwater out, and had success with both. In Japan, he inherited nothing, just built it, also successful. If you believe the...

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Not only that, even if they aren’t a banana skin we need to maximise our for and against in case wales or Fiji are.

RWC23 - Pool C - AUSTRALIA, Wal, Fiji, Georgia, Portugal

I worded that badly - I didn’t mean they aren’t a fair representation of the current performances, only that they will likely look different after the tournament.

RWC23 - Pool C - AUSTRALIA, Wal, Fiji, Georgia, Portugal

World rankings mean precisely zero at the start of a RWC tournament. Double points throughout so at the end of the tournament they will approximate the finishing positions.

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Georgia, SdF Sunday 10th September 2am

Is it too early to start this? If there is a structured format for the RWC then fell free to delete mods. With our games spaced a week apart and then 2 weeks between the final pool game v Portugal and the QFs, I won't be surprised if we start our strongest available lineup in every match...

    Wallabies 2023

Paisami was playing against Portugal, Foketi was playing against France. I agree it wasn't Foketi's best game and he did look a little lost but that's probably a function of not getting any game time since Super Rugby and having to learn Eddie's game plan with a bunch of players he's never...

    Wallabies 2023

Yes, this is probably the case now that it's mentioned. I did see that Roar article DC but took it with a grain of salt, initially. I guess if we need to make a change now will utilise a 'legitimate' injury.

Foley is the interesting omission from that 'Barbarians' team. Yes, I'm reading something into it.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

I think we just ditch the thing. We tried it multiple times last night with zero success. I’ll rephrase, use it sparingly but do something else as well so that the opposition don’t know what we are going to do every lineout in the 25.

    Wallabies 2023

I don’t think we have submitted the squad to WR (World Rugby) yet. We have until tomorrow to do that.

    Wallabies 2023

Expecting Bernard to get called in to the squad.

    Aus A v Portugal 26/08

Wilson elected to stay home to play finals for Brothers as I understand it.

    Australian Rugby / RA

An equity injection is imminent by the sounds of it, presumably some of that would be to get this comp going, otherwise Waugh would not have even mentioned it.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I think we could live with all of that though. Say there are 5 SS clubs that go pro, you’d probably have Colleagues, Drummoyne, Mosman take 3 of those spots which are basically the more social versions of Easts, Wests and Norths anyway. Similar Waverley/Randwick and Forest/Manly. Those clubs...

    Aus A v Portugal 26/08

Yes, all that, plus it was our 3rd xv. Probably even closer to our 4ths once you factor in injuries plus the blokes that said ‘thanks but no thanks’. Gave the standby players some proper minutes, that’s the main thing. I’m just watching it now - only 10 minutes in but they actually look pretty...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Kyle Sinckler apparently out of the RWC for the poms as well now.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

The bench looks clearly structured to give some minutes to those who haven't had many/any minutes. The starting XV is pretty much the strongest available (with a big ? over Vunivalu but I guess Eddie sees him as the most like Koroibete). I'm guessing the fitness overload during the RC has...
