    Aus A v Portugal 26/08

I navigated to the Portugal Rugby site and it looks like it's being streamed via France Rugby's channel. I have no idea about VPN's etc so if someone else wants to figure out how to make it work please advise. If you are Spanish speaking it would help too: Broadcast Rugby Tv: Portugal vs...

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

Fines is there to cover wing as well. Allows a bit of versatility with the backs with the 6:2 split.

    Wallabies 2023

I agree but I think they will wait till he is fit and utilise a later inevitable injury for that.

    Wallabies 2023

I reckon Foley and O’Connor are playing off for a place in the RWC squad in the A game v Portugal. I heard a couple of days after the squad was released that Kemeny was just a placeholder - the bloke that told me that wasn’t sure who for, but thought it might have been Ikitau. Thinking about...

    Aus A v Portugal 26/08

Interesting having 2 outright centres on the bench - I can see how all contingencies are covered though, except for fullback. I guess JOC (James O'Connor) would go back there if Wright had to go off.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

I was referring to the team announcement, assuming they did it 48 hours before the game. Couldnt find the sarcasm emoji.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

That was my thinking as well - all the article said really was that he’d been training more at fullback than fly half. I think a more valid inference is that there is another 10 to come into the RWC squad. I certainly think Donaldson will be on the bench when the team is announced though -...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Can confirm this and schooled at Stannies but played club for Orange City - or at least his brother Lachlan did - because believe it or not Bathurst Bulldogs can’t field junior sides. Another solid reason that more attention needs to be directed at the community programs.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

I agree, unless a first choice player is genuinely injured they will be featured in this 23. And if they are genuinely injured and they aren't a prop they might find themselves on a plane home.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

I think Eddie said he expected Jorgensen to be ready by the RWC, but I doubt the plan is to chuck him in this game to test him out. I could be wrong.

Without saying it, it appears to at least be a move towards centralisation. Similar with intentions about the third tier.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

Assuming it stays that way after Aug 29th. I feel the 2 games this weekend are final selection trials for some players, Foley and JOC (James O'Connor) in particular. Kemeny is carrying a hand injury apparently so there is an out there. Donaldson has been training mostly at fullback and Eddie is very happy...

    Women's Rugby

I’m a bit in Switzerland on this issue. I enjoy watching many disciplines of women’s sport. But full contact sports are not those. By full contact I mean rugby union xv’s and rugby league xiii’s. I can’t comment on WAFL because I don’t watch the sport full stop. In the rugby codes teams...

That actually wasn’t directed at you personally sorry Drew, just that the intention of the conversation was being blown out of proportion

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

There is no need to make a mountain out of a molehill here, it’s purely just curiosity about what the plan is if Gordon or Donaldson are temporarily unavailable, specifically for the France warm up game. Presumably there is one, we are merely just discussing what it might be, and we may never...

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

It’s a bit hard for Donaldson to be the option that’s not Donaldson. I know what your saying and I agree but the question is who is the back up 10 if either Gordon or Donaldson aren’t in the 23 for whatever reason.

    Ah yes of course.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

No I wasn’t suggesting he doesn’t start, only that he might be considered the other option at 10 outside Donaldson, in the case of an injury to Gordon during the game. However that then begs the question as to who the other 15 options are, Marky would be one, who else?

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

It could actually be Kellaway, purely on the basis that he has the best rugby brain in the team and also the most composed. No idea who would kick for goals though, perhaps him as well, or if Gordon goes off so does Tate and White comes on.
