Wow...I'm totally gobsmacked. So you can't differentiate between having players recruited by another team versus a state losing its professional team's operating licence to play in Super Rugby and having the team that was finally showing real signs of being competitive with 8 players locally...

There were obviously some limited windows of opportunity for people who were ready for a move. Rather than see them go OS. Nobody could rate this a high level of recruitment in a squad of 42. I hear that the Force is recruiting for next year already.

Thanks Dan Quixote This is a Rugby site with forums that create the opportunity for rugby fans and fans of individual teams to add to the discussion. Anybody who is passionate about rugby as "the game that they play in heaven" or an individual team will suffer from 'confirmation bias'.

And rightly so. In the same way, the Western Force has been back in Super Rugby Au for now the 2nd year yet you wouldn't know it on G&GR. The Super Rugby drop-down menu on the HOME screen still only shows 4 teams. Guess which one is missing?

I reckon you'll see it when he bulks up a bit more. I don't think his shoulder will currently last 80 minutes. I like the way that he's beeing blooded into the XV game. Especially as he provides good Lock and BRow coverage.

Totally agree. How easy it is to forget that the WF lost 7 out of 8 local players who had been developed from local Perth Club rugby when the WF was axed <4 years ago. RA also instructed the WF NOT to recruit from other Super Rugby teams in both 2020 and 2021. Where else were the WF expected to go but...

Sometimes it's just good to win ugly! And - recognise a strong defensive effort.

Hope we get to see the outside backs get some quality ball and the chance to use their speed. (or at least look threatening enough so the Centres can beak loose.)
