Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

Those are stats are typical for an England V Aus game though. They always play to grind out a win. Johnny Wilkinson kicked penalties not scored tries. They have been winning that way for decades. Whilst I do agree the attacking team should get the benefit of the doubt, I also don't think the...

    Brumbies 2023

So we got Hooper, Neville, Frost and Swain? Damn thats some great lock depth.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

I think out lack of options at 10, a key position, is a worrying. Pretty happy with depth at most other position given the injuries and debutants.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

A typical Paisami game, some solid straight running but also some poor passes and decision making. I much prefer Ikitau at 13. I think Petaia would be the next best 13 which doesn't seem to be an option for Petaia which is talked about too often these days (although I feel his best games for the...

I agree. I think Lolesio being so clinical with his goal kicking gives a false sentiment on his performance around the park. Take away the goal kicking and it's a pretty average outing. Not that he played terribly, but certainly don't see him setting up many trys or line-breaks which you want...

    Wallabies 2023

I have to say our lock stocks are looking pretty damn good for the future. Arnold, Philip, Rodda and to a lesser extend Swain all with decent Test level experience. Neville proving he is capable this series. Frost showing last night he is capable. The Brumbies look to be over-stocked with...

    Wallabies 2023

I agree with this, I came to post something similar. I think the next RWC is too soon for us and we will peak a year or two afterwards. The Lions Tour 2025 is a realistic goal. Rennie seems to be doing good things, I hope he sticks around longer.

On a positive, how good was the Wright try, beautiful to watch!

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

I thought Porecki was solid in game 1 but less impactful in game 2 and 3. Although its nice to finally have a Hooker who can throw straight. FF (Folau Fainga'a) last night was throwing very straight and is a great impact player who can find his way to the line. He seems better in contact too. I hope he get some...

    Well Wilson was pretty poor.

Cheika would have us play the same strategy all 3 games and we have lost the series 3-0.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

Yeah probably. I think Freeman was his name, he was good. Their 15 was unquestionably better then Hodge (and Hodge wasn't bad beside that pass). Genge was unquestionably better then our front row. Lawes was good too. England were good and are a great team, I'm not on the same page that we are...

yeh felt weird writing that actually.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

The England 15, clearly more skilled then Hodge, caught every high ball on offer. There 11 was a threat everytime he got the ball. Koro and Wright were good, but I hate to say, the England back there equally, if not better. Lolesio was solid but Marcus smith took his chances. Kerevi was...

You can criticize the ref's performance but they aren't the reason we lost. The coaches and players are.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

Wilson was pretty bad. Frost was surprisingly great, but strange that he played 80min, was clearly stuffed after 60minutes, should have brought on Leota sooner.

Australia v England: Match III, SCG, Sat 16th July 7.55pm AEST

The strategy looked fine it was once again execution that let us down. If only I had a dollar for every "last pass" that we have screwed in the last decade. Australian rugby love playing a running rugby skilled game, but maybe we simply don't have the skill to execute this game anymore.
