    Waratahs 2021

That is an interesting question. Strange that when it's an outsider (who ironically was right and who's vision did in fact come to be in terms of broadcasting) they are willing to kick all kinds of stink up about things but when it's a group of good old boys the go all radio silence on...

    Waratahs 2021

I think they can play a significant role in the pathway. But not the be all and end all of it. There needs to be robust participation that focuses on development and inclusion. Offering options for social and competitive Rugby alike.

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I think at a minimum they'll like stay about the same.

    Waratahs 2021

Just more of the same noise. I believe the Shute Shield does play and important role in the overall structure of the game. They should form the encompassing district level clubs that oversee and arguably administer junior Rugby. But, they problem with rugby in this state will not be fixed by...

    Waratahs 2021

Problem is. All that's likely to happen is a shuffling of the deck chairs. That there idea of who they should be accountable to begins and ends with a minority of clubs. I would support a move to accountability but I want it to be applied broadly. To the point that every registered player...

    Waratahs 2021

Not only that. But there needs to be serious restructure of the organisation and quite frankly the entire grassroots and player pathways connected to the org.

He's also on a pretty good thing in LA. Working with Hoiles and Freier with which he has mentioned are good friends of his. He's living in Venice Beach. On what would be a fair salary and his very own F45 franchise without the need to fork out something like $150k. Why would he return the...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

It's likely even higher than that. Regional and 9Now ratings would likely be in and around those numbers. Reckon combined with Stan we may find it is closer to 200k if not slightly above.

Coleman is in the states for a couple of years as per an interview he gave on one of the growing list of podcasts based around MLR. So we can probably scratch him.

Issue is, even if we were able to arrange it. How do we prevent the appointment of similarly minded members of the clique?

They need to work on their physicality both in game and this off season but I certainly thought both offered more than either Caird and Whetton have managed. I actually thought Harris had his best game for us as well.

I was watching the Toyota/Suntory game and couldn't help but look at the Aussies on the field and think to myself. Right here should be the Tahs hit list for next season. Hooper is coming back. Hockings, McMahon, Kerevi. Very different Tahs team.

Super Rugby Rnd 6: Waratahs v Reds

Harris has had a couple of solid runs. And Foketi has made good metres. Just not getting enough ball. There's far too much timid play. I get many are young but there's opportunity in that. They need to start taking them.

Someone from the Tahs. Show us you're fucking hungry. Too much standing off the contact. Get in there.

Japanese Top League - Now showing on Stan!

The Toyota/Suntory game was another ripper. Unfortunately Hooper's Toyota came off 2nd best with a penalty taken after the bell giving Suntory a 29-36 victory.

Japanese Top League - Now showing on Stan!

A lot will depend on the budgets for the teams in the new structure. Early on there were suggestion they'd be well and truly enough to compete with France as the big money league. At least in the 1st Div. But there's been little in the way of information about exactly how large the playing...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

The PRL owns the Premiership and only has the promotion/relegation system in place thanks largely to the RFU playing ball with the payment arrangement. While the LNR regularly finds itself in direct conflict with the FFR over player access. That certainly doesn't look those organisation working...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

So sanctioning is why the RFU (I'm not sure about the FFR and LNR arrangement) actually pays the PRL for access to players? Look it up. You seem to be overestimating the presence and clout of USA Rugby in the equation. MLR started it's life playing Rugby Union without sanctioning. So clearly...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I'd say they are probably right in it. And considering that there's reports that the Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup will be formatted in a very similar manner as the 9/Stan deal I think they'll be putting forth and interesting proposition for RA/NZR. Apparently the BBC and ITV will simulcast...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I can see the attraction of substantial annual handouts to someone in Forrest's position. There's a reason billionaires tend to give so generously to philanthropic endeavours and the like. And that's tax. There's more than just profit at play. But, having the one investor funding the structure...
