RWC 2011 - Pool D - Fiji, Namibia, Wales, South Africa, Samoa

I've got a theory about attack/defence ratios. By which I mean you have a man who has 100% of his energy to allocate to attack and defence. Most guys I reckon set the bar at about 60% attack 40% defence. It looks to me like the Fijians have it set at about 80% attack.

Poite is giving a penalty every time duPreez waves his hands in the air.

RWC 2011 - Pool D - Fiji, Namibia, Wales, South Africa, Samoa

Bloody ball-busting game so far. Fijians really matching the Saffers in physicality. They need more pick'n'goes, though, the holes in the Bok defence are right next to the ruck.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Greaaaaaat. No openside flanker. Sure! Why would we need one? :tard The funny thing is that I woke up this morning with a bad feeling about this one. The Irish are going to see this as their grand final, and we're going to be our usual complacent selves. If we lose, it will make Pool D...

RWC 2011 - Bitch, moan and discuss - Referees and Law Discussions

France v Japan - what the hell was Walsh thinking in the first try? Medar gets tackled, rucked over, then he just stands up again without releasing. Walsh was 2 metres away. Dickenson should have been selected ahead of him - he's just too crazy.

RWC 2011 - Pool D - Fiji, Namibia, Wales, South Africa, Samoa

Don't forget that Australia might be playing the second placed team in this pool. I'm kind of hoping it's Wales.

    Farr-Jones ?traitor

fatprop - there's a difference between QC (Quade Cooper) niggle and Bakkies niggle. With Bakkies' niggle, you wake up in hospital. QC (Quade Cooper) is just pissing Richie off. It's like a tailender giving it to the fast bowlers. I'm loving it.

RWC 2011 - Pool B - Scotland, Romania, England, Georgia, Argentina

Georgia were awful and Scotland struggled to put them away. You'd have to tip the Argies on what we've seen so far.

    Farr-Jones ?traitor

True, Bon. Except that for the first time ever, it seems to be working. I'm completely astounded at Farr-Jones's comments. In NFJ's day, there's NO WAY any of the boys would put up with an elbow in the face, or never think about niggling an opponent. The 2011 Wallabies are much cleaner than the...

You did notice that the iRB just directed the referees to crack down on pillars and driving through offside at the ruck?

Could the Kiwi's be losing Dan Carter?

Is that an A-team apart from halfback? If so, why Ellis?

England at the Rugby World Cup

Sheridan out of RWC. He's not a major threat, but it will help us win a semi-final against them.

When the choke gets beyond a joke

I'm not. But it has to be used judiciously. If you have an excellent sledge, you don't yell it out every ball. Just when it might exert maximum pressure.
