Hope that Ed will be back at the Kennell in 2018 after his stint as a joker!! You would think that if he gets some decent game time that he'll get more offers in Europe but I just hope he wants to play Super Rugby for the Reds.

Interesting situation for the Reds & the Tigers in 2018 with the selection of Liam Wright on the Wallaby tour? What do they do with Michael Gunn? Easier for the Tigers who will accomodate both in their best XV you would imagine.

We could also have another Qld NRC team. QC (Quade Cooper) could have a greater country element based at Ballymore playing in truly regional locations, have a Gold Coast side based at Bond and Brisbane City.

I have proposed this before but why can't we set up the South East Qld Premier Rugby competition containing Bond Reserve grade, Logan, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Wynnum and a couple of GC club sides? Reds players could be aligned to either QPR or SEQPR sides, as they really don't play...

What do you mean Beer Baron? Do you mean why play for Logan if numbers are dwindling? It would be great for a competitive Logan to be in QPR but just I really don't think there is much to be gained by being the whipping boys of QPR like they were in Prem Reserves this year. I would love to...

I would rather they get some super sides together and dominate the Prem Reserve and Prem Colts. Really take the decision away from the QRU. When Sunnybank were admitted in the 80's they dominated Reserve grade for a year or two before their admission. I appreciate that this post will be...

Retaining people like Green, Mason, Banks, McMahon, Butler, etc may have helped the Reds over the last couple of coaches but how complicant were Graham & Stiles in all this - recruitment & retention?

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

Well well another Reds coach goes yet Carozza & Cordingley who have overseen the recruitment and retention that has seen more home grown talent leave Qld than in any other era survive. Why are these two protected species?

Great news but I would have liked them to be known as: The Baby Rhinos They've missed a great marketing opportunity there!!!!

    Queensland Rugby 7s 2017

I heard that Easts got their approval from the QRU for 23/9/17 but then the QRU approved the Crosby 7s for the same day - Brothers wouldn't move it so given it was a first up for the Tigers they decided to pull the pin. Its a shame that there cant be better coordination

NRC crowds Rnd 1 Ballymore 3200 & Rnd 2 at Noosa 1600. Will be interesting to see how many roll out to Uni & Wests over coming weeks. Here's one for you - if they play an NRC at Crosby in the future will spectators be charged an entry fee?

    QLD Premier Rugby 2017

In NRC#1 they played games at some of the historic NRL grounds - Brookvale, Leichardt, Gosford, even AAMI and Suncorp (pre a Bledisloe), but they seem to be moving to Suburban grounds now which is great for the clubs lucky enough to host a NRC game. Do the Rams play all home games at TG Millner?

Apologies for calling TG Millner a sand pit - I think that may have started all this - it's great that both clubs/competitions have such wonderful facilities for players & members.

Gee looking at the Rams NRC game yesterday that was played at TG Millner (home ground of Eastswood) the QPR fields stack up pretty well - Sylvan Rd, UQ, even Bottomley this year looked in better shape at year's end than TG Millner which could best be described as a sand pit/dust bowl!!!! It...

It's fly in & fly out on the same day type travel also. Might be fly over day before to Perth but then the red eye back after the game.

I don't think that they get paid to play NRC. Reds contracted players - playing NRC is part of their contract obligations. Non-contracted QPR/club players don't get paid to play. That's how it was in the initial season of NRC.
