    Drua v Rebels 01/04

Well, in that half the bubble (if there ever was one) has burst about Mafi, Wilkin, Kemeny, Canham (? No 5), and Inone while Carter has shown a definite fragility defending against big, hard running backs and Hodge just cannot be anywhere near a Wallabies squad. Second half will need big...

Yeah, No 7 for identification perposes.

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

Tate's kicking game was not up to standard last night. Needs to do some work there.

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

Blinkered or rose coloured glasses Reg? I'm thinking he's somewhere in between the two perspectives. At 8 for the Wallabies, he's up agaonst Rob V and despite his undoubted terrific workrate, he just doesn't have the impact of Valetini. But his wide running would be a huge benefit at test level...

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

JOC (James O'Connor) is at least in the country and playing. If we want or need an experienced head to help the youngsters coming through, he presently is the one.

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

I expect one of Frost or Neville to be rested this week, probably Nick Frost. Will be interesting to see if Nic White comes back into the starting lineup or if Bernie will go with Ryan Lonergan to start. The likely side will be something like : 1. Slipper 2. L Lonergan 3. Ala'alatoa 4. Swain...

    Reds v Crusaders - Round 6

Out of interest, are any of Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson, Tate McDermott, JOC (James O'Connor) or Jordan Petaia required to have Wallaby stand down this year, and have any of them already played 5 games consecutively?

    Wallabies 2023

Reg, imo: Gibbon > Lambert and =/> Robertson; HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) > Nonggorr; Lolesio > Lynagh Henry and Perese > Stewart. Otherwise I don't mind that squad at all. Particularly like the inclusion of Anstee, Gordon, Toole and Jorgenson.

They (the English) had a good run until a bloke named Gasnier tore them to pieces on a tour in '62. Since then, it has been fairly poor picking for England against the Aussies in League.

Dru, do you have an actual quote from a prop about Rob's scrummaging prowess? I asked this same question at the height of the discussion about him in scrums and never got an answer. I have never seen any comments directly from the Wallaby props at the time to that effect, but it was widely...

Brumbies v Waratahs, Sat 1st April, GIO

Just a couple of observations KOB and then I'll leave it. Vailanu has played 7 in SS and iirc some time in the Tahs as well. With two other hookers in the squad the Tahs are not without options. And if the Brumbies can bring in a couple of players from outside the squad (Jack Wright at lock and...

Seems a shame Hooper's situation didn't come up a week or two earlier. Would probably have seen the dismantling of the resting policy once and for all.

Thank you KOB. The typical magnanimous Tahs attitude to the fore once again.:p

Nic Frost and Kadeyrn Neville have both played 5 games in a row. Is it all right with our Tahs fans and team to continue to play them this week?

    Wallabies 2023

My take FP for what it's worth is that the situation we're likely to be facing this RWC is slightly different to earlier. We have three experienced No 10s in Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor) and Foley. The record with two of them (JOC (James O'Connor) and Foley) is that we lose more often than we win in big test matches. Hence our...

Hmmm. In my world it was the Rebels who scored 40 points.

Well, Jordy has a bit of a love affair with the MCG  :p.
  20. Brumby Runner

    Rebels v Reds 25/03 @ AAMI

No-one doubts his work ethic, but others don't seem to see the big ground gains and defenders beaten that Reds fans by and large do.
