RC - Wallabies vs Springboks, Gold Coast Sunday 12 September 8:05 PM

He may have learned how to? I hear JOC (James O'Connor) is fit so maybe in the bench for his 1st test back? He might start.

    Wallabies 2021

That might be a little unfair as he looks in good nick. I see he was only playing those minutes at the Force most of the time this year. Of course if in the 23 he needs to be ready for a full game if needed.

Holmes will hold his own in the set piece but might be a little off the pace around the paddock. Hes good for 15-20 mins.

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/rugby-union/holmes-on-brink-of-becoming-oldest-wallaby-since-second-world-war-20210907-p58pla.html Greg Holmes added to the squad? As he says, SA is a big strong pack and you need to counter that. Where can we find the updated squad for the upcoming matches?

I understand why they start Allan A. But surely they should be starting TT. His go forward and set piece give us the best opportunity to lay down a marker. The All Blacks have basically nullified his scrum advantage late in the game by doing the same and bringing on front rowers to match. He...

Dan McKellar on Noah L. “I’m really proud of Noah. We’ve just got to understand he’s finding his feet at this level. It’s rare for any player, look at Richie Mo'unga, he’s not the same from 5 years ago so we have to be patient to develop and get them to the level as soon as we can.” Its true...

How about if we make our tackles? The Ioane brothers were running through us like we were the local U13s. How about we don’t kick the pill away just because we have advantage. Isn’t 7 points better than 3? How about we actually make our easy shots at goal and make sure of our touch finders? How...

Why wasn’t Kaitu’u in the 23? Still not fit? There was nothing wrong with what BPA and Uelese had been doing for the previous couple of tests.

No doubt Fitzy that we need to open up the pathways and make them more attractive and accessible, absolutely. However, a bloke like Vunivalu has very good rugby instinct. He is aware of where space is or might come available and looks to take good options based on that instinct. He doesn’t kick...

As much effort as Koreibete puts in he is completely predictable. He will not pass or kick but will without question carry hard into the teeth of the defence and then try to regain his feet and go again, often picking up sanction for not staying down in the tackle. For a side like the ABs that...

    Wallabies 2021

Kerevi is a 12 but needs a little quality either side of him. JOC (James O'Connor) at 10 or Quade if he is not yet fit. Petaia should be our 13. He has shown in the past for Qld and the Wallabies that this is his best position. Put him there and keep him there. Kellaway at 15 is a good bet or Hodge if we want...

Lolesio, like a few others in this side has no instinct. When Hodge came on we immediately started to get over the gain line. He carried himself and started to pop passes in close. Lolesio is not a decent 10 and he is not fast or physical enough to play 12 at this level. He is also not a...

Seem like a lot of players that come through the Tahs are more appreciated elsewhere after they have moved on?

    Wallabies 2021

Surely that would have been a better plan against Argentina? Anyway, that pack is stacked with Brumbies that went OK but didn’t play the house down as a unit compared to the other Oz sides. So far NZ have brought on their strongest scrumming front row to counter TT when he enters the game...

And what did Uelese do to be dismissed? It was clear he was number two for the last couple of tests. I thought he went well and improved the scrum. He is only 24 and has a lot of improvement in him.

    Wallabies 2021

Our scrum will be under pressure on both sides of using the bench. Samu is a good choice for a bench back rower but he needs to bring his A game. Too often in the past he has not shown enough in test rugby. It doesn’t look to me like a side that will bring us our biennial(approx.) upset of the ABs

Uelese has been the second choice for the last couple of tests. Why would he be the one to go? Might have other personal reasons?

The fact is he has an excellent passing game both ways and can see space on the field. He also has a decent kicking game. It has been the top two inches and questions about his ticker that have curtailed him in the past. With age maybe he is getting on top of these two aspects? No one can deny...

Quade could be a sensation with an old head on his shoulders as well as its possible he is not still up to it. Its going to be crazy entertaining to watch him try and find out.
