Agree that this is what’s happening. I think he see the private equity deal on the table and is expecting increased remuneration for players because of it.

As much as I hate how divisive our culture is these days and how we have probably gone more backwards in attitudes the last 5-10yrs towards gender/race etc. because everyone is desperate to align with something (Māori background here and I officially hate these days how people are desperate to...

I think governing bodies only have to voice their political views because a small percentage of the population expects them to. And even then there is only one political view they are allowed to express otherwise it’s not acceptable. The vast majority couldn’t care less. It’s just social media...

I’d much prefer the media asked individual players their views than an overarching body that represents 100s of people expressing a view on behalf of people that might disagree with it. I want to hear from Michael Hooper, Quade Cooper, Taniela Tupou on their thoughts, than a blanket statement...

    Wallabies 2023

Probably wouldn’t be possible but I’d love to see an opportunity where Tupou, Leota, Rodda, Bell etc. could get a months worth of NPC before World Cup. Or a season worth if not included in the squad. Looks like it starts early August so wouldn’t clash

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

Men’s team really blew opportunity to all but guarantee automatic Olympics spot. Beat Canada and they would have had close to a 10pt advantage into the last round. Still if they can beat RSA it will go a long way to rectifying things and pretty much eliminate them from contention.

R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

Sad thing is Rebels probably had 55-60mins of the actual play, but got done for over playing their hand a little too much. Great smarts shown by Tahs for knowing Rebs will offer opportunities on a consistent basis, shows some maturity. Well deserved win

R12: Waratahs vs Rebels - Saturday 13 May

Turning point to change momentum and how free Tahs could play was refusing to take the 3 when 28-20 down. Would have brought the game back to 1 score and require Tahs to play more conservatively but opted for corner instead. Tahs did well to take chances and deserve the win. Rebels could be a...

Link was an amazing coach, did great things at the Reds etc. but saying he was the architect of Cheika’s success in the first couple of seasons is a really long bow. Just looked at team from Links last Rugby Championship game and the team from the RWC final. A total of 7 players were in the same...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Happy for him to leave if a good offer is there. Has been solid and shown great work rate for the team in some wholehearted displays. Would equally be happy if he stayed but understand he’s on below market value at rebels currently.

I’m not to down play Marinos as we all have no idea what went on. However it’s as clear as day that all the restructuring and cost cutting happened under Rob Clark.

    Wallabies 2023

What a load of nonsense. Eddie plucked a specific guy called Matt Giteau from no where to play in the national squad before he had played a provincial game. He’s also on record for inviting a bright eyed Marcus Smith at 16 into the England camp saying he is a future international.

    Sevens 2022/23 (World Series etc)

Looks like Samoa will struggle to make the knock out phases in this leg and RSA could also potentially bundle out. If Aus can finish ahead of both this round, they would be very short odds to get auto olympic spot with 1 round to go.

Only Paisami would not qualify for Vic given league SOO rules. Not one of them would qualify for any other state under the same rules. If there is confusion over players like Digby, Benny Taps and Hosea etc. they were all identified in the Victorian system and offered rugby scholarships in QLD...

That’s not even close to what I was talking about. It’s more about his manager taking a swipe at RA, but why would RA offer Wright even remotely the same when clearly the competition for his signature isn’t demanding the same kind of values. If they were then he could of alway accepted the...
