    Wallabies 2024

He’s always been a good supporting player but as a ball player he still stands too deep and looks to shovel. He does have an absolute cannon on him though. I think Gordon is the most talented (and toughest) and plays the way we want our fly halves to by taking it to the line and looking for...

    Waratahs 2024

We tried him and he’s no better. Bite the bullet and pick Bowen, I’ve heard Edmed trains well but he‘s been given enough opportunities.

    Round 5: Drua v Waratahs - Saturday 12pm AEDT

    He’s honestly not tough enough.

    Waratahs 2024

Sua'ali'i has the skills to be far more rounded than Perese at 13- let’s hope he fulfills at least part of his potential.

    Wallabies 2024

So that one time he was able to collect a single point in a game we lost by 30 points? Are you intentionally being obtuse. This guys meant to be the best player in the world.

    Wallabies 2024

He’s a good player- but the NH circle jerk that goes on about him, Meafou (and even Mack Hansen) is a little ridiculous.

    Wallabies 2024

World Cup rugby is completely different- when has he performed in a rugby championship game?

    Round 5 : Force v Reds - Perth

Good try Reg but I wouldn’t want Bayley Kuenzle on the wing for Shute Shield let alone a Super Rugby game. The backline screams mediocrity and you know that.

    Wallabies 2024

So did Alofa Alofa- what’s your point? It’s completely relevant he’s never consistently performed in Bledsoe and RC rugby and when 70% of your test matches are in the Southern Hemisphere. It seems like were obsessed with this notion of a ‘point of difference’ player when Sam Whitlock and Brodie...

    Wallabies 2024

Because he rarely plays well for Australia, and doesn’t suit fast-paced Southern Hemisphere rugby.

    Waratahs 2024

And that’s the problem; we rely on Perese doing something special but that selection comes with a lot of negatives. He’s a great individual player but doesnt elevate people around him.

    Waratahs 2024

But the structure and attacking shape is terrible; it’s not like they’re creating plenty of opportunities and not executing. He might be a good bloke with a drinking problem but they don’t seem like a well coached team.

    Waratahs 2024

I’m not sure if we can find anyone better who’s affordable. I‘m yet to be convinced of his professional capability- he’s been successful in amateur rugby due to recruitment policies. He might be a nice guy but can anyone honestly say they’ve seen genuine improvement? The attacking shape has...

    Australian Rugby / RA

    Those are atrocious numbers.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Tongue in cheek but is it really that far off the mark? For a period of time there was some real optimism associated with the Rebels as a franchise; however that soon turned into apathy and mediocrity.

    Super Rugby General Chat

You want a viable (relatively) low cost option? Park a team in Western Sydney (which should have been done years ago) and let them share some resources with the Waratahs. You can give it a Pacifika flavor if that helps with finding and there is an endless pipeline of Panther and Eel rejects to...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

The Rebels back in the day were somewhat likable- when they had battlers like Cooper Vuna, Jarrod Saffy, Cipriani and Lachlan Mitchell running around for them. It all went downhill the day they decided to make Reece Hodge the face of the franchise.

Super Rugby: Round 1. Rebels vs Brumbies - 23 Feb AAMI

The bar for elite has become pretty low.

    Aussie Player Exodus

We deserve him as much as Italy- neither of us did anything to develop him.

    Wallabies 2024

Skelton has never remotely lived up to his reputation in a Rugby Championship (or basically any game against a quality SH team). He‘s at his best in the attritional and slow paced world of European (and unfortunately World Cup) rugby where he can walk from ruck to ruck with the occasional...
