Well yeah. He wants us to win. And it’s ok for a national coach to say that out loud.

He wasn’t bragging, or claiming we were going to beat NZ, or any other kind of loudmouth talk that puts a target on our back. He wants us to be competitive. We’re allowed to want that and say that out loud.

I hate this expectation from some quarters that we have to speak of NZ rugby in hushed, reverent tones. Jones has said nothing wrong here Marce; we are allowed to want to compete hard for the Bledisloe, and it is absolutely reasonable that we should want our teams beating NZ teams.
