And the irish took full advantage by keeping the ball in the scrum on their feed and for some reason Radike and Genia didn't focus on clearing the ball ASAP on our feed. The Irish won quite a few scrums through their second shoves.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Anyone watching the game in a pub with multiple screens would have noticed that the league semi final started over 1 hr after the wallabies, but finished only 20 mins after full time in Auckland. The rugby took an extra +40 mins for an 80 min game.

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

There was a lot of talk before the RWC about how the lack of a backup 7 and the number of players returning from injury without match fitness would hurt us and so it turned out last night. Macalman was very visible as he had a great vantage point to observe many of the rucks. Last night was...

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

thats absolutely correct. Our ruck play was dire. Did we even have more than 3 phases in the first half? IT was MArseille all over again. Bryce was complete shit byt the way but the irish had us covered in the forwards in this game anyway.

I'm far more interested in how anyone (let alone royalty) could marry someone with a nose like Tindalls. I thought the photo had been digitially altered.

The Kiwis are rigging the World Cup so they can win.

This thread title should be changed. Spiro has added his 2c, which I am mostly in agreement with, atleast until this weekend. I do think the kickers will be practising like mad at the moment. http://www.theroar.com.au/2011/09/13/is-there-another-balls-up-over-the-gilbert-rwc-ball/#more-50362

RWC 2011 - It only hurts when I laugh

not sure if this belongs here but there is a report on SMH that Carter (Dan, not Tom) picked up a niggle against the Tongan's so the AB's have delayed announcing heir team for the Japan game this Friday to see if he pulls up ok...

Channel 9 continues the tradition of absymal free to air rugby coverage...

Foxtel is owned 50% by telstra and 25% each by news and the packer family. Is there really much more to say on this topic? All of us without fox are frustrated and have now vented. C9's programming isn't an accident and won't change.

England at the Rugby World Cup

and so he should be cited, it looked bad real time and could have caused significant injury (whereas Quades just looked like a dirty little cheap shot). I reckon Quade deserved a games rest for his attempt, two wrongs don't make a right and I think Lawes will get 3-4 weeks.

South Africa v Wales match thread

64% success rate though Ruckin from the worlds best kickers? Wilkinson, probably a career 85% kicker gets 2 from 7 kicking indoors? Some of the misses have been shocking with the ball starting wide and fading away from the posts

South Africa v Wales match thread

There is a trend emerging here that teams aren't kicking the penalties needed to win. MAybe it the ball, maybe its the weather but it aint happening. Everyone will be trying to work out whats going on with the kicking but there maybe some tactic adjustments in order.
