Was it the same leg that had the broken ankle earlier in the year?

RWC 2011 - Pool D - Fiji, Namibia, Wales, South Africa, Samoa

I haven't watched the whole game so don't know what preceded the Williams - Brussow incident but the red card looked harsh to me. Frankly I think the situation would have been best dealt with by the ref telling both brussow and williams to stop being dickheads and get on with the game, and...

    Ch9 RWC coverage

I swore I wouldn't post in this thread again but I can't help myself. South Africa V Samoa, what a great opportunity for a Friday night game (on delay) to fill the normal league slot. Instead C9 is running that movie blockbuster we have all been waiting for - Charlie and Boots! This follows...

RWC 2011 - Bitch, moan and discuss - Referees and Law Discussions

All the evidence over the last 4 years suggests that Paddy rates Bryce Lawrence. I think its unlikely that Paddy will have an epiphany in the next week.

Bryce Lawrence will get a QF.

    Showdown with the IRB

I agree every team should be on a level playing field. Why gives teams like Samoa and USA a handicap in the RWC? You end up in the situation where the minoows have rested some of their better players when playing the top ranked teams in order to improve the chances of beating the mid ranked teams.

    Showdown with the IRB

I think the IRB should shorten the RWC. The current format doesn’t work anyway as the minnow’s get dud draws given the odd number of teams in each pool. If so, then the Aus/NZ concerns may be able to be lessened. I haven’t turned my mind as to what format could work better but I would be in...

RWC 2011 - Pool A - NZ, Tonga, France, Japan, Canada

I saw the french team up close today as, by coincidence, I had some meetings at the north shore (auckland) hotel where they were staying. I worked out why they weren't able to sustain their first 10 mins against the AB's, too many of them are addicted to the cancer sticks. The french then...

Wallabies at the Rugby World Cup 2011

E.g. we have page after page of discussion, over multiple threads, of changes to (and analysis of) the backline following the irish game, yet it was our forwards that got beaten and lost us the game.

RWC 2011 - Pool B - Scotland, Romania, England, Georgia, Argentina

I think the scot fans should be looking at the four missed tackles in the argie try.

    I'm confused/disappointed

anyone but england works for me. Preference is for a first time winner but thats probably unrealistic.

All is not lost, time to keep the faith.

I was thinking about it this morning. The loss to the Irish is likely to result in the teams to ever beat the Wallabies in RWC’s (France, England, Wales, Ireland) all concentrated on the opposite side of the draw. Conversely, we will end up on the side of a draw with teams that have never...

AUS IRB World Ranking drops to 3rd behind NZ & SA - Ireland up to 6th

Struth, where we would we end up if Italy get a bonus point win against ireland and we don't even make the qtrs?

Kiwi hate vibe is marring World Cup

One of the All Blacks stomped one of the english into the ground at the 1995 RWC. The english are still trying to dig him out. EDIT: snap on fatprop

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

Where is it acceptable for someone to pull his dick out and tell an opposition supporter to suck it?

    RWC - Wallabies v Ireland - 17th September 2011

I think thats right Paarl. It was the combination of who SA had on the bench plus the coaches willingness to use them that got SA home V wales. We couldn't, partly due to poor coaching (say in the case of higgers and S Fainga'a) and partly because some of the players on the bench were less than...

    ONE TEAM - positivity thread

We now know the tactics other teams will use against us for the rest of the RWC

    RWC Wallabies v USA - 23 September

McCabe should be in the bench for the next two both for his versatility and to see how some others go at 12. Cooper, Barnes And AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at 10, 12 and 13 for me against the US.
