Wallabies v England, Sat 11th June, 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

Folau isn't a poor distributor, let alone the poorest. He's certainly given some very good passes for the Waratahs. But regardless of all of that, the last thing you want is Folau throwing long passes to someone who isn't Folau. You want him taking on the line and players running off his...

Hopefully the Tahs won't also almost get a semi.

I think where he might fit is impact. I doubt Cheika will be messing with the Pooper to start but Houston (like McMahon) might be a Cheika-style sub off the bench. The reserve pack is looking increasingly test-quality.

Regarding Houston, the Wobs will have seen all his Bath games by now. If he's good enough, the only advantage in waiting is that the fans get a look at him. So pick him. The question is whether he's good enough.

It's also Carter's decision making. He has got on the wrong side of too many lineout drives. Couple that with his relative lack of mongrel and Arnold looks by far the better choice to partner a Simmons-type player.

He's also our best scrummaging hooker. The recent tactic of the scrum getting stiffer instead of softer as the game progresses is a good one.

If Foley gets injured then Lilo would appear to be the last man standing. There's literally no one else. Debra and McIntyre aren't even Supe standard. I'd gladly have Hunt before either of them.

Foley's actually very good. Not only is he improving, but people are starting to understand his contribution better.

    England is coming!

A full Suncorp is up there with the world's best stadiums for atmosphere, plus it's likely to be by far the most parochial Wallaby crowd of the three. Exciting stuff indeed.

That assumes we should play games at ANZ because it has a larger capacity. The counter argument is that we should play them at Allianz because it's a better stadium. It's great for rugby that we have two tests at Allianz and AAMI. I think they'll also provide much better TV viewing.

    England is coming!

The problem is, they have no experience throwing the ball round on hard pitches. They may have the potential to do so, and maybe even the players, but they'll get totally creamed if they try to take us on at our own game.

Paul Cully in the Hurled said "It's too early to start talking about Horwitz for Wallaby selection yet." It's also too early to start talking about not talking about it.

Winning the lineout might give you the greatest net yardage off the next play, and thus be the most important attacking platform, but losing the battle of the scrum or breakdown can cost you the game, even if you're the better team in every other way. This is especially so when we face England...
