If Country took lets say a country origin team to the Nationals every year, I'ld say they may have well won one or two and finished in top 3 reguarlly. The flow on effect of this is, Schools would come back to the field a bit and a whole lot of Schools players good enough to be at the Nationals...

:) Good call on " 10 in a props body"! I think the "fits and starts" thing also is influenced by the amount of possession the team had ( speaking about last weekend ) - he is a ball runner and with no ball it is easy to go missing. AICES had hardly any ball in the first half of the CAS1 game...

Gobsmacked that Jennings missed Country selection for the first cut! He had a great year last year and from what I saw at Country Championships not much had changed - agree with you Newbie about his Schools weekend. Hope he gets the call up - Cockatoos may need him!

You're right - that's an impressive list of "outs"! They do have the boys you mentioned in your previous post #718, and I think you mentioned Mill (23) and Hawkins (4) from AICES in another post from the weekend, plus the CCC No.21 (Chapman?) - but still it's a lot to cover. Maybe will give some...

Any thoughts on how NSW Country will go this weekend? There seems to be a rich vein of talent coming from Country when you see the boys who were running around last weekend ( across all teams ) who played in last years Country U/15's! Cheers!
