How does this work after only 1 comp game? Any consideration taken into acconut for past performance for 'veterans' like Kellaway, Sandell, Tepai etc?

Tepai not in contention? Either way good luck to whoever gets the nod, a great accolade especially if they win the title.

Any word on the Newington Captain of Rugby Football (as it was styled in my day). Also as for the GPS lists what criteria are posters using for (c) and (vc)?

I'm not making any cheap shots at Grammar or High. I competed in GPS Athletics in Juniors and Seniors through the 80s, I never said they were hopeless, I made a point that Grammar started their decline in GPS sports in general in the 80s. As for High I simply posted an article by an Old Boy of...

Well 6 going elsehwere isn't "most boys". What's the problem with the new Head Man?

Not quite as simple as that re High. As for Grammar, as far as I understand (my whole street went to Grammar as did all our family friends) ever since Mackerras there has been a real 'de-emphasis 'on sport as a whole in any event. I remember my friend at Grammar telling me that in the 8os...

I cannot answer that question because I am not an admissions officer of the College I and do not know for certain that PURE SPORTING SCHOLARSHIPS are offered.

The College offers bursaries and scholarships the criteria for which are clearly set out on the College'swebsite.

The point I was making in the above was in response to the allegation that boys are 'imported' solely for playing rugby (esepcially the Tongan boys). The College clearly states the criteria for the ONU Tongan Bursary on its website. Now if these Tongan boys ONLY played rugby AND did absolutely...

sorry I don't follow league at all, I mentioned that it was 'interesting' not "surpising". From what I understand Tepai plays in the forwards in league, isn't this a very different skill set then what is required in the union back line. Of the players that 'switch' between codes do they usaully...

Are Milne and Moera the biggest centres in the comp? If not what makes these two boys so effective? Interesting that Morea plays in a completely different position for league.

I'd be happy to "look at the First XV" if the list was available (GPS Round 1 is this weekend and the First XV has yet to be finalised). Ok, let'sassume 4 of them come from the same school, did I or anyone else say that 'they all woke up one morning and decide to switch Schools [sic]'. When you...

I wrote "Dux of his year", not "Dux of the College". Each year has its own Dux, a Proximite Accessit , a Third in Year and a list of Merit (usually about 10) for General Proficiency.

But since we are on the topic of school leavers (extract from the Annual Report of 2011 which is on the College's website): The Hardy Medal for the overall Dux of the College for 2011 was shared by Bradley Smith (IB Diploma), Michael Rees (IB Diploma) and Nathaniel Teng (HSC) with the...
