Super Rugby Round 4, 2018 - Jaguares vs Waratahs @ Buenos Aires

I must have missed a whole page in the forum somewhere. So, Jake Gordon went off with concussion? What happened to Mitch Short? And who is Nick Duffy? Only positive in that is that Will Miller will see some game time!

    Waratahs 2018

Yes, but. Our problem, Hooper aside, is that we have four positions where all the available players keep tackling and cleaning out hard. So, there is no balance. The one bright light is that Hanigan seems to have upped his physicality, so he at least is more than a workhorse. But that is still...

    Super W Round 1 Qld v NSW

I don't know much about the QLD set-up but you'd think looking at that line-up that Sunnybank is a shoe-in for the local comp.

Super Rugby Round 4, 2018 - Jaguares vs Waratahs @ Buenos Aires

Finally the Tahs have fessed up to the SMH that Kepu is injured. What possible advantage do they think they got by hiding the truth? Now they've got that out there could they also let us know if Beale is playing or not?

Super Rugby Round 4, 2018 - Jaguares vs Waratahs @ Buenos Aires

This game could almost decide where the Waratahs will finish this season. They won't be a top team based on their performances so far; I think they'll end up mid-table but this game could be a slippery-slide towards the bottom. The Jaguares are a better team than their performances to date, they...

Super Rugby Round 3, 2018 - Sharks vs Waratahs @ Durban

Given the travel I think we can pretty certainly mark off a round four loss to the Rebels. We could easily lose to the Jags next week, but I think we just might scrape a win. That means we go into the bye round with two wins, a draw and a loss. Given the state of play you'd take that anytime...

Reds vs Brumbies, Lang Park, 2nd March 2018 @ 7:00pm AEST

So the skills were down on the NZ teams! So what? This is round 2 and there is a long way to go. The skill levels should improve by round 5/6 with more time together. What I did see last night was great intensity, from both teams. If you carried, you knew you were going to get hit; hard. I...

    Super Rugby Round 3 - Sunwolves v Rebels @Japan

    Big red = Maddocks?

Super Rugby Round 3, 2018 - Sharks vs Waratahs @ Durban

Fairly predictable, given Gibson's way of thinking. But Kellaway and Hegarty were both pretty anonymous last week. As Hegarty is on the bench to cover Beale and Foley I basically hope he isn't required. Newsome will be pissed. When he came on he clearly added something to the backs and yet that...

    Waratahs 2018

To be fair, Gordon was having an absolute blinder. I would have been pissed off if he'd been replaced.

Wasn't Koroibete due back this week?

Super Rugby Round 3, 2018 - Sharks vs Waratahs @ Durban

Except that Gibson has pretty much ruled it out. He has said he will next be selected for the rebels game.

Super Rugby Round 3, 2018 - Sharks vs Waratahs @ Durban

Reckon you've got the back five spot on. As to the front row I reckon they have to be a bit more radical. I would put Robertson and Ryan where they will be for the season - at 1 and 17. Collectively they'll be the ones directly facing "the Beast". Its a huge gamble but I'd give Tawake a start...

Super Rugby Round 2, 2018: Brumbies vs Sunwolves - Tokyo, 3:15pm (AEDT) 24/2

The Brumbies now have four wingers, Speight, Peni, Verity Am and Tauliali who I reckon are better than all the Waratah wingers (except Naiyaravoro, who is just so different that it makes comparisons very difficult). Its very tough on them because all four really should be in the 23 and someone...

    Fox Sports

I used to record the NZ games from 5:00 to 7:00 (5:30 if you live on the east coast) and then the Aussie game from 7:00 to 9:00. But I've noticed lately that the game start is scheduled at 7:40 (the QLD game was 7:45) and so now I have to research start times to schedule my two hour record...

Super Rugby Round 2: Waratahs v Stormers

While discussing endlessly whether it should have been a yellow and/or a penalty try and/or a scrum [my opinion yellow, penalty but no PT] there hasn't been much discussion of some of the really good things that got my adrenaline pumping. The early chip kick, Folau's huge aerial after a Foley...

    Un-Australian Activities 2018

The Lions, for whatever reason, don't draw crowds. Given the attractive style of rugby they play the reason for that remains a mystery. Lord knows, Twickenham is always full to watch the soap dodgers score 1 or 2 tries in 80 minutes. Go figure.

Super Rugby Round 2: Waratahs v Stormers

I've read the article and still don't understand. How can the judiciary say one trial game is significant but not two? Given that SBW got to count his half-arsed trial in his suspension it seems that there are no rules as to what counts.

Super Rugby Round 2: Waratahs v Stormers

I understood Kepu's suspension finished after round one. Three games meant two trials plus the first round. Do you have any better information? You understand my desperation! Agree with the rest.

Super Rugby Round 2, 2018: Brumbies vs Sunwolves - Tokyo, 3:15pm (AEDT) 24/2

Based on last night? It was 3 on 2 after 10 minutes and they still didn't wipe the floor with them. Mafi was OK, Timani and Cottrell were largely anonymous. The only way you are right is that the Rebels have played a game and the Brumbies haven't.
