Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

You have to laugh. Someone is going to try to accentuate the positives in this. Good on them. I have a needle missing in this here haystack they can work on next.

    Global Rapid Rugby

It doesn't hurt, but seriously, Auckland works because it has a big population. Watching the Blues over the past decade, I reckon they'd love the excuse to support a different team. I imagine they'll try to make the team representative of all of New Zealand to not alienate fans from other regions.

    Global Rapid Rugby

The WSR team has to be based in Auckland. Giving Aucklanders an alternative to the Blues is the humane option.

NRC Round 6: Melbourne Rising v Western Force

I think the Rebels will have the advantage in the backrow but we'll have it everywhere else. Unfortunately, games aren't won on paper. I've seen plenty of games between WA and Vic where the team that looks better on paper is embarrassed by their counterparts.

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

Just going back a few posts, I think Hooper has grown a lot as a captain in the past 12 months. He used to come across as a by whiny when talking to the referees, but that has improved a lot. 12 months ago I didn't think he was the right person for the job, but now I do. I also really liked...

So would I, Strewth, especially when you consider that the other RC teams average ~85%. Simmons is great in the set piece, but not that great.

I don't disagree Tragic, but part of the issue: The midfield is not controversial. No Wallabies supporter in their right mind thinks Beale has been a good option at 10. The only question is where you align Foley, Beale and To'omua in 10/12/22 and I think last weekend's game was soooo bad that...

Wobblies v pumas - is Salta at altitude edition

I am in the fortunate position of not having a provincial bias by and large of the fact that there are no Western Force players in the Wallaby set-up. Don't want to get into the Pocock or Hooper vs Pocock and Hooper. It's been hashed out and I think it is redundant if you have the right...

Australia by 13+ at 5:1 is a good bet. I'd be surprised if we win by less than 20.

NRC Rnd 5: Force v Rays

Always good to get a big win coming into the final rounds. "Force" naming thing is a non issue. Most likely they (the unpaid intern) weren't sure if we were the Perth Force or Western Force.

NRC Round 4: Queensland Country v Western Force

We dinged. They donged. We dinged twice. They donged three times. We dinged. They donged. We dinged. They donged. We dinged for the win. One conversion in it. Good effort from Prior for 6/6 from the boot. Can't beat a heart stopper of a game.

Exactly what I was about to say Dan.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

You'd think there would be an appetite for another team in Auckland. It must be hard work supporting the Blues.

    Waratahs 2019

If you are looking to flog a few things that noone really wants and are just going to waste, what about 10,000 free tickets to each Waratahs home game? ;)

    The Wallabies Thread

Reckon if Folau plays 13, DHP is the obvious choice at fullback with Hodge slotting into the vacant wing slot.

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I am not talking about sending someone over now. I'm talking about back when we played Fiji/Tonga. Send Larkham over for two days. Maybe stuff is happening behind closed doors- I doubt it- surely RA would be reporting on any significant offers of support in order to promote the narrative that...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

The ARU or RA or whatever doesn't care. If they did they would make an effort to mend fences. Little gestures like sending over Wallabies coaches or asstant coaches for a bit of collaboration. Or planning/announcing it. Maybe it is offering other kinds of support. They see WSR as a threat to...

Wallabies v Ireland, Saturday 16th June, 8.00pm, AAMI Park, Melbourne

Agree. Never understood why anyone really rates him, but the I would have said the same about Robertson and he had a corker off the bench last week.
