    U20s WC

Stewart was terrific and diverse and you get the sense he has far more potential in him. A handful of things he tried were creative but didn't quite work. You get the feeling he will learn with him when some of those things will/won't work and how to be slightly better at them.

    U20s WC

Good news. Whether we win or lose our next game, we dodge SA and NZ next year.

    U20s WC

And maybe the tide is turning. As I said, my comment was not about the current crop, more that I'd like to see gaps in our senior side plugged and that previous U20 hopefuls in some positions haven't cracked on like we hoped. On the other hand we have depth in spades with props. Take tighthead...

    U20s WC

That's the size of it. No offense to any of the current players. Hamish Stewart looks great. My point was that we had a prop problem and now we have high quality young props coming out the wazoo. At senior level we have position problems- behind Foley, Genia, at 6 etc. Can we do the same thing...

    U20s WC

Australia clinch in 44-15. What a cracker considering being a man down. Some of those forwards are going to be sensational in a few years. Whatever effort we put into developing quality props over the past few years- can we put the same into 6s, 8s, 9s and 10s? Couple of good guys running around...

    U20s WC

You have to laugh. We play better with 14. 0 points conceded in 45 odd minutes with a man down so far. 10 points conceded with the full 15 in the first 20.

World Series Rugby: Rd 3 Western Force v Rebels Saturday 9 June 08:00PM WST

I thought that. But a long while later I thought- how do you get better at playing in wet weather without practicing in match conditions. If something more important was on the line, I'd say go ahead and play a bit more conservatively. But if conservatively rules your life, you don't get any...

Australia v Ireland, Sat 9th June @ 8.00pm, Suncorp Brisbane

As a Robertson hater, I was really impressed. Hope he can keep it up.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

That's the tricky bit- meaning for who? It has plenty of meaning for West Australians. It might not have any means for anyone east of the Nullarbor, but then- why should it? Hopefully, it will also have meaning for those regions that have not had a professional team in the past. I don't...

    Rd 16 - Blues v Rebels, Sat 2nd June @3:00pm

It is a sign we have a spring back in our step that people are disappointed we didn't earn a 3+ try bonus point in an away game against a New Zealand side. How a few weeks can change our perspective. :)

Well done Rebels. Always good to see an Aussie side get up over the Kiwis.

    Brumbies 2018

Hah! Why on Earth would we want that?

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

I don't see why WSR can't work with just one Australian side (i.e. the Force). As long as some form of remotely reasonable broadcast deal can be arranged, there really is no barrier. I wouldn't be surprised if you got bigger away team turn-outs against Asia/Pacific based teams than you would...

    Where to for Twiggy Rugby?

Speaking as a WA fan, I am pretty sure we want one simple thing: Participation in a professional competition where we can celebrate our local players safe in the knowledge that we are treated as equal partners and not liable to be (a) cut from the competition at the whim of corrupt officials...

    Force 2018

I would have to say I would prefer teams to be representative of a region and would prefer a team like the Sunwolves to a team like the Wild Knights. But it does make me wonder how the private market could fare with this IPRC. How would things go if the Wild Knights did join the competition? Or...

    Round 13: Brumbies v Rebels, Sat 12th May @7:40pm

I don't know who has a bigger chip on their shoulder, you or the Force fans you are referring to.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I love it how, not content to be New Zealand's bitch on the field, we entertain the thought of being their bitch off it. If New Zealand is complaining about our teams (a) stop recruiting our players and (b) dilute your talent a bit. Add an extra team or two. Oh that doesn't suit you? How do you...
