    Waratahs Camp

I agree FP, I think Tilse did enough to start. Palmer is much better at THP than LHP whereas Tilse has played most of his footy at LHP and only moved to THP when Jerry Yanuyanu pushed him out of the LH spot at Uni. If Tilse can hold his own at scrum time, he is much better value around the park...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2010

Thanks Lee. Good write up as usual. It's funny, Joeys often struggle against Scots when they shouldn't, but usually get away with an ugly win.

    Shute Shield 2010

Not quite 49-23 but a win just the same. I think the last time Uni Colts lost was 2008 so your probably close. Fair play to ye Lindommer and we'll see you in round 2. Even a died in the wool Uni supporter is pleased to see a club put in the hard yards and come out on top. It's going to be a...

Waratahs v Hurricanes, SFS - Revenge of the Dell

I have watched Jeremy Tilse play footy since 2003. He has always been an honest contributer who doesn't shirk the tough stuff and gives it his best. When he has been pilloried he keeps turning up. When he can't even get a run in Uni 1st grade he keeps turning up and playing the house down in...

    Melbourne Rebels 2011

Re: Rebels deadline ends, update here on what you hear. With you there enforcer. Beau would be a far better option. Personally I hope the Tahs sign him as cover for Waugh. Unfortunately I have heard that they have approached him and he has told them to f*** off after the way he was treated last...

    Shute Shield 2010

Hux was definitely playing at Uni before his unfortunate medical mishap and I am pretty sure Uni expect to see him back this year. And why wouldn't he. After all, it's the birthplace.

Waratahs v Hurricanes, SFS - Revenge of the Dell

They mentioned on the Rugby Club that Piri Weepu might be out with an ankle injury sustained at training. That would be a big blow for the Canes if it is true.

    Wallaby Squad Predictions 2010!

You'd have to pick Weeks over both Ma'afu and Baxter on form if fit.

Waratahs v Hurricanes, SFS - Revenge of the Dell

Agree about McCutcheon a real hard worker (and an impeccable pedigree) And Thomson, what is he doing there? I assume Caldwell has a relapse of his illness, there is no other explanation for his absence. But with Dennis able to cover lock and back row why not throw another backrower on the bench...

    Reds v Canes. Wellington

Didn't he play in the Cricket U/19 World Cup? Must be quite a sportsman. ?John Eales type?

Waratahs v Hurricanes, SFS - Revenge of the Dell

Must have been a tough game for Southern Districts last weekend. Palmer's aged 4 years overnight. :lmao:

    Reds v Canes. Wellington

After seeing a bit of Shep this year (and last), I think buying him is the act of a desperate franchise.

I suppose someone had to say it. Maybe we should have run a book on who it would be?

    Grumbles pissing and moaning

Yeah, WOW NTA. I've never been a big fan of the Fairfax Press No 1 correspondent (self proclaimed) and have expressed that opinion here recently, but that is an 11/10 rant. Go hard, brother.

    Shute Shield 2010

Well, he couldn't say that, though, could he Riddler? Because it's not. But we all know where the birthplace is. ;)

Benn Robinson gone ............................... 6 weeks min.

This is a big problem. Only option is to go with what they had for the Highlanders game. Baxter at THP, Palmer at LHP and Tilse on bench. Can't see Kepu being fit, props need intact calf muscles. Don't see TPN as a prop alternative. Never played there in his life and it's not the time to start...

    Chiefs V Waratahs, Hamilton

re Palmer v Tilse. I think it is more than punishing Palmer for going to the Brums. I think it is a genuine selection based on Tilse's work around the paddock. Palmer is clearly the better scrummager and is the best young prop in the country when it comes to scrum time, but he offers little else...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2010

tahs win, Uni win, randwick lose, manly lose, reds lose and now this. Oh blissful day! great write up once again, Lee. Boydey can certainly pick a good footballer and think outside the box when it comes to their best position. I remember when he picked Lachlan McCutcheon out of the 16Ds. He...
