    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Sure, same as everyone. It's been a better game for as long as anyone can remember. The point is the potential impact across rugby in Australia for that one is about 10 times smaller than what qld v NSW should be. Just a massive opportunity cost Even by round 8, if the Tahs got their act...

    Brumbies 2024

Yep, at least Brumbies, Tahs and Reds give free entry to registered juniors, not sure about the other two teams (and don't think it applies to finals)

    Super Rugby General Chat

Tuputupu cops 3 weeks for high tackle despite being in a fairly good position, bent at the waist and parallel to the ground at contact (although arm was cocked). I think there was a dip from the ball carrier but judiciary found there wasnn't Think SANZAAR/WR (World Rugby) need to provide some clarity on...

    Wallabies 2024

Getting a yellow for abusing the ref was a pretty terrible look for him last game. He'd want to be very careful for a bit.

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Crowd for that match - 21,872

Toulouse probably pays him more if he chooses Samoa though, and only plays for them in WCs. Him playing for France would be his clubs least favourite option as he wouldn't be available during 6 nations.

    Australian Rugby / RA

With many exceptions, at a high enough level, players are going to represent the nation that earns them the most money. That may be Australia if they get an RA top-up, or their French club wants players available during six nations, or it might be the nation they move to (eg Hansen). Absent RA...

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

Yeah, it'd have to be the guys who haven't had a break for a while, went to Fiji and then backed up against the Force wouldn't it? Smith, Wright, Hunter, Campbell

    Waratahs v Reds - Friday 31/5

It gets said every year, but how have we let what should be the most important domestic rugby match in our calender become so meaningless that coaches are resting players for it?

    Round 14: Brumbies v Rebels Fri 24th 7.35PM @ GIO STADIUM

Absence of evidence doesn't mean evidence of absence BR. We don't know what questions were asked of anybody. Technically no mitigation was applied at all, at least "mitigation" as it applies to reducing suspension lengths

    Round 14: Brumbies v Rebels Fri 24th 7.35PM @ GIO STADIUM

Tupou gets away with a warning from the Foul Play Review committee https://www.rugby.com.au/news/rebels-prop-taniela-tupou-cleared-to-face-drua-after-dangerous-cleanout-2024527 It's good to see warnings being handed out by the process - there should be a lot more of them.

    Round 14: Brumbies v Rebels Fri 24th 7.35PM @ GIO STADIUM

Only "good" in the sense that he hasn't been suspended for it

    Australian Rugby / RA

There's been no announcement yet, but doesn't it only work if the 6 ROW teams play each other in the "SH" window in Aug/Sept/Oct? ROW (TRC+Japan and Fiji probably) play their division games then, and cross division in July/Nov. Six Nations Tourney is their divisional play How will it work if...

    Australian Rugby / RA

With Nations championship we are going to have to fit 5 test matches against the ROW division in Aug + Sept Is this what it looks like? 2026 short TRC (tour + NC) 2027 short TRC (WC) 2028 short TRC to fit Nations Championship 2029 TRC 2030 short TRC (tour + NC) 2031 short TRC (WC)

    Australian Rugby / RA

They have veto power over this tour proposal. It's actually a huge amount of power. NZ and SA are going to have to come up with $$$ (probably) or it's not happening

    Waratahs 2025

Yep. And the first we will see of it is in April 2026 annual report
  19. Strewthcobber

    Waratahs 2025

The ARF is just the mechanism for the money to be paid by RA. The donor would contribute in the year the payment is required. You can actually probably see where Folau and Pocock ceased to receive their donor money out of that list
  20. Strewthcobber

    Waratahs 2025

Absent a journo reporting someone talking out of turn, I suspect the closest we will ever get to knowing what the exact payment split is will be some heavy assumptions starting around April 2026 with the ARF annual financial report
