The Torygraph is reporting that Lee Dickson is the starting 9

    Waratahs 2014

I remember he tore Cian Healy apart in 2010, if he can get that form back he'll be an invaluable asset.

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Apparently if the Amlin winners haven't qualified they'll get one of the playoff spots, so if its the 10th placed team in one of the leagues they take the play off spot of the 8th placed team

A big increase in a couple of hours, the intern mustn't be able to use excel and is calculating using an abacus.

Or competition governance either, I suspect that the PRL and French clubs will want a bigger slice of the voting rights. I don't get why we need the 7th place French or English teams in the competition. What are Bath, London Irish, Bayonne or Grenoble going to add quality wise?

    JOC (James O'Connor) Gooonne

The 40 minutes was just the train journey he'll have to factor in tube and buses if he wants to live in the "cool" areas. A guy with his sense of entitlement would be very entertaining during a rush hour tube journey.

    Northern Hemishpere Rugby 2013

Some trickles of what the competition will look like seem to be coming through, the qualification structure will be 8 Rabo, 6 PRL, 6 French with the governance being two votes per country how these votes are weighted I have no idea. Seems to me that it will be the Heineken Cup Mrk II but with...

He might be disappointed when he finds out that London Irish train and play in Reading, a soulless outpost which is about 40 minutes on a train from London Paddington. On the upside Reading Walkabout does 1.50GBP jagaer bombs so he can entertain himself while he is there.

    Super Rugby Membership Watch

Waratahs are aiming for 20k members this year. With the renewal period now closed they've got that they have 2,961 members for 2014 so far. Slightly disappointing renewal figure with Izzys resigning and a positive 2013 on the field, although it could be that the intern hasn't counted all the...

I was gutted when I read that statement this morning, put me in a horrible mood all day. I'd love the IRFU, FIR, FFR, SRU and SANZAR to push the nuclear button over this and say there'll be no World Cup if this goes ahead but I think we'll be watching the Super Duper Rugby "Champions" Cup...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

I'd be shocked if he did play, he was confirmed out for 4 to 6 weeks last week I believe. Apparently his knees are shot and he is going to have to be very carefully managed to make it through to the World Cup in 2015.In the Lions series he got the perfect storm of having Roman Poite as referee...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

England's scrum is the weakest by a long way that the Wallabies will face on tour. Lets not forget that they got butchered in every game there in the previous 6 Nations. England have a fascination with ball carrying props at the moment because none of their other forwards are regularly getting...

    Heineken Cup 2013/14

I remember at Twickenham for Leinster against the Not Nots in 2010 at every break in play the stadium announcer who shout over the tannoy "Lets hear it for the Irish". Obviously this was something that happens at every London Irish game but it just kept creating more noise from the Leinster...

Australia Vs. England, Twickenham, 2nd November 2013

England have yet to decide on their captain for this series, if its Chris Robshaw again he'll line up at openside flanker and the Wallabies have a chance to create havoc at the breakdown as Robshaw is just short of an international class player. If Tom Wood is the captain a more natural openside...

    Heineken Cup 2013/14

Gopperth was pretty average for Leinster today, not sure why he got 80 minutes t 10. I would have had Madigan on at half time to try and ignite the Leinster attack which looked very poor yet again this season. They aren't going to win this tournament relying on their D. Good wins for Munster...

    Sydney Subbies 2014

Lets hope indeed, the numbers of Irish coming down under will decline as the Irish economy improves however Sydney does have a large Irish population which will hopefully keep driving the club forward.

Looks like Brian O'Driscoll is struggling to be fit for the November Internationals. He tore his calf a couple of weeks ago and noising are beginning to emerge that he is a doubt for the Irish games.
