    Shute Shield 2013

What I was alluding to is the older set are saying it is going to implode due to the new guys taking over with no experience. The new guys can obviously start from a low base but the older guys are saying that there could be mass player walk outs there based on some 'leaked' depth charts which...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Word is that Nick Seymour has a contract in the UK and wont be staying at the Rats for the whole year.

    Shute Shield 2013

Depends who you talk to but some are saying that Randwick is a ticking bomb ready to explode. Too many novices in charge.

    Sydney Subbies 2013

I heard similar about Newport. Good luck with the hassle of finding them work etc. It's been tried by the Shute Shield teams and they no longer go down that path for a reason - because its f*cken hard work.

    Sydney Subbies 2013

I had to tip someone mate but the idea was to generate some chat. If its not Old Iggies who do you think will be relegated? Yeh fair enough I have heard that they didnt pay a few of their guys last year after promising payments as a result a few have left or planning to leave.

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Funny that Richard Aho gets picked to train with the Tahs after moving to Randwick. Cheika here: http://www.news.com.au/sport/rugby-gold/ns/story-fndpt9s1-1226538174032 “I want to find another player or two who can be at the level, if we can do that through this system we’ll show to all the...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Seymour plays clubs off against each other for $. He even wound up playing 2nd grade subbies last year for Hunters Hill who were paying him $450 a game! So I can assure you he has gone for the money. Seymour & Wolfsburg are both kiwis.

    Sydney Subbies 2013

I am hearing Briars are in such a state that they have asked NSW Subbies if they can drop down to Div 4 next year. That would be a massive fall from grace. I am also hearing that Newport have been recuiting heavily for Div 2 and Brothers have a good prop coming over from Grade. That would be...

    Shute Shield 2013

I dont actually think thats right Coxy. The Toyota Cup is the youth comp and its inability to prepare players for 1st grade is why teams have reintroduced their reserve grade in the NSW Cup. eg Illawarra Cutters for the St George Illawarra Dragons

    Shute Shield 2013

Take it as gospel that Izzy has signed with Uni. I met with some of the Uni heavies on Thursday night and they were happy to tout his signing.

    Shute Shield 2013

Yeh he got a pay out from South Sydney and he has moved to Uni. (He's on no money of course... cough cough) He is being groomed to play on the wing and from all reports could be anything. I am hearig that he has really impressed the coaches.

    Shute Shield 2013

Speaking to a guy from the Easts Board on the weekend and discussing various methodologies on Shute Shield. We agreed that perhaps the only way forward for broke Clubs and a struggling comp was to abolish player payments. So what are the chances of all SS Clubs pulling together and agreeing...

    Shute Shield 2013

Did a committee made up of Stephen Hoiles, Adam Freier & Simon Poidevan make a recommendation to the Board on the Randwick coaching make up for 2013? Did that same committee put forward Stallion rugby as their preferred? Don't some of that committee work for Stallion...

    Shute Shield 2013

Back on topic - The chit chat is that West Harbour openside Daniel Midghall is being converted to #9 because of lack of halfbacks at the Club. The Club is on the look out for #9's and have offered an ARC player a return on good wedge. He is yet to take it up.

    Waratahs 2013

I hope I am wrong but I just cant see him playing Shute Shield.

    Shute Shield 2013

Did Dell ever play play SS or in QLD? I cant remember him playing SS. I dont think NSW would risk Izzy in SS if he was to sign.

    Shute Shield 2013

Haha. That's the spirit Ross - just because I dont agree with your views on Sydney Uni I am all of a sudden someone else that has promoted a different idea to you ie Warren Livingstone? I am not him but if that makes you feel better because its hard for you to believe there is more than one...

    Shute Shield 2013

I think thats the point WCR. Existing teams finish their normal comp. A new comp starts after the Super season finishes and for a short period of competition there is a concentration of talent. Existing Clubs would then work with the new franchises. Cipers agreed but I wouldnt consider Anesi...

    Shute Shield 2013

I wouldn't think so. It doesn't make any sense for either of these Clubs to merge. Eastwood are one of the more financial Clubs with a good Board. Balmain have a good Board, appear to have the money to do things so it doesn't make sense but funnier things have happened. Maybe its not this...

    Sydney Subbies 2013

I have a little inside knowledge of NSW Subbies & Shute Shield competitions so here’s my expectations of the 2013 Subbies season. Shute Shield to follow soon. There is no doubt the calibre of teams and players is getting better by the year in Subbies. In my opinion some of these Subbies Clubs...
