Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Certainly with Godwin I would argue that he has been targetted by other teams as the main Force attacking weapon and hence is hit by two defenders when he gets the ball. He doesnt have the space he had last season hence isnt making those breaks. On the other hand his defence is fine, and the...

Everyone is aware that HB and Speight play different positions arent they?

    Wallaby Watch 2014

Hooper deserves to start for the Wallabies, but Hodgson is currently the form openside in Australia. Hodgson would be a good option for the bench as he has oodles of experience to bring to the squad. Gill isnt challenging for a start spot or even bench spot right now. At captain, Mowen should...

Can we get the wings right? Cummins, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Betham and Tomane are 11 Speight, AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper), Mogg, Tomane and JOC (James O'Connor) are 14. JOC (James O'Connor) is a fantastic player and would be a challenger straight away for the 14 jersey. He is ahead of pretty much every other 14 we have. I would certainly have him in the squad and he...

    Wallaby Watch 2014

I doubt we will ever see that. Beale wont play wing. Cummins is an 11 not a 14. McCabe will play wing or 12, not 13. Robbie Deans is gone so I doubt we will see that many guys out of position again.

I agree. Had some great games but tests are a different kettle of fish. He's a great backup but Hooper and Gill are ahead now.

    Wallaby Watch 2014

At the moment, there is no chance that Mogg could displace Izzy at fullback. There is a chance he could take one of the wing positions - he would be a 14 if selected, so challenging Tomane / AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) and then Speight when eligible. That would be a tough ask. Badger is almost a shoe in at 11 this...

    National Rugby Championship 2014

Rugby is not big in Adelaide certainly, but it exists. There are a dozen or so clubs, and when I lived there the rugby pubs would be packed for bledisloe games. There are quite a few kiwis there and when that happens rugby will have a following. It won't be able to support a pro team though.

Genia is miles ahead of any other halfback in Australia. Godwin and To'omua both deserve to be in the squad. From there it's anyone's position. Remember that To'omua is playing 10 at the Brumbies so we don't know how he is as a 12. Kuridrani would be the shoein at 13. I'd probably have Beale and...

    Western Force 2014

I think this is a big one. Last year he was the only attacking weapon at the Force. Opposition have picked up on this and each time he gets the ball he has two defenders on him straight away. On the other hand Ebersohn is making the breaks now.

    TRC 2013 touring squad

I am interested that McKenzie considers Anae as the next best hooker in the country. Surely Hanson or Charles would have got a run ahead of him. Hell, I would have given one of those two a run ahead of Fa'ainga.

    Western Force 2014

That is about right. Tomane at international level has not done his chances any good whereas Cullet is the opposite, he has revelled at the higher level. Speight and Folou are another sort of winger and shouldnt be compared to the Cullet / Tomane / Ioane style. We want a centre style wing and a...

Are we definitely getting a second marquee spot then? Otherwise I would prefer to stick with matheson as the marquee player (someone who will get his hands on the ball a lot more than a winger) and then work on picking up some other finishers given we already have Morahan. I assume we are losing...

There is no way that Fa'ainga is a better hooker than Charles. As has been said, Charles is 4th, and I agree with that. I have also heard the Morahan rumour. Thats good news. Didnt know about Zac Holmes or Prior, they would be good to get as well, especially bringing Zac Holmes home. I had...

I had thought Mafi was heading to Japan at the end of 2013. Which is disappointing as he is really hitting some form of late.
