    Wallabies 2024

Not a huge fan of this attitude. Surely if you really wanted to be a Wallaby it should make him work even harder?

    Wallabies 2024

Probably due to a lack of other options. I wasn't really impressed with Lonergan this season, Goddard seemed to be a better option for the Brums attack at times

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Who of them would even deserve a call up?

    But he's big!

Glad to see Ryan Smith in there, I think his style is built for test Rugby

    Wallabies 2024

Yeah that's probably what made it worse

    Wallabies 2024

Nah that World cup squad was diabolical especially in hindsight At least this squad includes someone that actually knows how to place kick

True, but who would you pick? Richie Arnold was supposed to be top class

Woulda, shoulda, coulda Australian rugby in a nutshell. Our ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against NZ teams is the stuff of legend And I’d argue we didn’t really do better this season. Force won less games, Rebels snuck into the playoffs with a 5-9 record and a whopping...

Not too bothered by Rodda leaving. Decent but over-rated player, weird behavior at the Reds when he wasn't made captain and giving a contract to a guy with the injury track record of him is dangerous. The best ability will always be availability

We are just as likely to get worse keeping the same backwards system, as we have for the last 20 years

Exactly what state are they in now? No super success outside of wooden spoon’s, and a national team that can’t get past the pool stage of a World Cup and hasn’t sniffed the Bledisloe in 2 decades Can’t risk losing that wonderful success

Domestic only. There needs to be an incentive for players to stay

    Australian Rugby / RA

Fair point. I guess I'm just less worried about losing players as they have been leaving regardless and the ones that have been paid to stay have added nothing in terms of on-field success

Your schemes and caps and how they are based would be worked out based on the profitability of your business though, which makes perfect sense I'm not saying to pay every player a pittance, but the fact is the current model is redundant and needs to change. So I think we need to be more open to...

We are kind of at rock bottom, no?

Haha how in the world was this allowed to happen. Who was running this? Krusty the Clown?

If run properly, it has a place

Honestly, it couldn't make it any worse. Diabolical Super Results, a virtual tier 2 national team and a union hemorrhaging money At a certain point, we need to actually look at what these players we supposedly "need" to overpay to keep in Australia are adding

They are paid more because they are worth more, but they wouldn’t be paid that money if the competition they played in was losing money you’re looking at the numbers instead of the process. Professional sport is a business, and successful businesses don’t pay employees random amounts while...
