Let's see how smug they are after week one of the finals.

    Sarel Pretorius coming home?

That's where the Rebels and the Force could try to find some diamonds in the rough. As for the Tahs, they seem to struggle to identify talent in their own backyard so looking overseas is probably a fool's errand.

    Sarel Pretorius coming home?

That would require some thinking "outside of the box" which hasn't really been one of the Tahs' strong points this year.

    Sarel Pretorius coming home?

Apparently, Sonny Bill Williams' deal at the Roosters isn't finalised yet. He would certainly generate some much needed interest in the Tahs and put a few more bums on seats. He would be a true marquee signing, but the Tahs would struggle to find the $$$ to pull that off. Maybe the major...

    Reds v Waratahs Rd 18 2012

Definitely take the points. The Tahs have been generally poor at re-starts so Reds should get the ball when the game resumes. With the Tahs regularly fading away late in each half, still time to go for the bonus point try.

    The NSWRU Board

The NSWRU receives a licence fee from Waratahs Rugby Ltd for the use of the Waratahs brand. So the brickbats etc should be directed at the board members listed by p.Tah. I would suspect that the NSWRU is also despairing at how Waratahs Rugby is tarnishing the Tahs brand. Could they take back...

    Sarel Pretorius coming home?

It has been mentioned that the Tahs couldn't afford to payout Michael Foley if they were to sack him. Wouldn't the same apply to Sarel if they end his contract?

    Eddie Jones

It goes on for another 10 minutes. Talk about a scorched earth policy. I can't recall seeing anything like this. Classic Eddie Jones.

    Waratahs V Brumbies @ Homebush

The Official Brumbies Fan Page on Facebook has mentioned there are $10 (plus booking fee) GA tickets to the game via the Ticketek website. http://premier.ticketek.com.au/shows/show.aspx?sh=WARABRUM12 Password to access the offer is BRUMBIES.

    Waratahs V Brumbies @ Homebush

Isn't Sarel the marquee player for the Tahs? I recall that his goals is to break into the Springboks and it can't be said that he has helped his caused with his stay at the Tahs so far. It wouldn't surprise if there is a parting of ways at season's end. Also popular to park around Concord...

    Waratahs V Brumbies @ Homebush

Stirling was injured and didn't actually play with the team in the two finals that the Brumbies won in 2001 and 2004.

    Waratahs 2013

Tom Carter is not the problem at the Tahs. He's one of the few players who is vocal in team huddles during and after the games. Hope he goes well wherever he ends up in 2013. Bruce, great post #543. Maybe the powers that be at Tah HQ want to drive the organisation into the ground so they can...

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

Apparently, rugby is a People's Liberation Army of China approved sport. which is a good start. With Sevens now an Olympic sport, it could be another kickstarter for the game there and everywhere else. Having watched some of the local Chinese HK TV, I would say both soccer and basketball are...

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

Cheers. The only other sportsperson I can come up with is Lee Lai Shan who won a Windsurfing gold medal in the 1996 Olympics. Also, the physique of the local people may not be predisposed to 15 man a side rugby. I reckon you be struggling to find enough locals that could wear jerseys 1-8...

    Ideas for Australian Rugby Union

Wamberal, following from your post, you might be interested to hear that the Tahs hosted three HKRFU players last week for training and skills development with coaches to follow in early July. Link to article: http://www.hkrugby.com/en/node/2158 From the HKRFU website, there appears to be...

    I'm pretty sure I don't like this

First saw Sanchez wearing one of these in a video and thought WTF? Not sure initially, but they have grown on me. Having a bay or two of these will certainly stand out in the crowd. Credit to the ARU for trying something different. Kids will love these as well so if there are some extras, they...

    Waratahs 2012

So the Board has done such a sterling job, they have seen fit to add two more members to it. The fish rots from the head so who's going to review the performance of the board? It seems they are law unto themselves. They are lucky they don't face a vote from the members.

    Waratahs 2012

From The Sun Herald today: No surprises to hear that some of the Tahs home crowds may have been "adjusted". Take out the couple of thousand SFS members and the numbers are worse. It's going to look pretty sparse out at Homebush for the last home game of the year. Strange to have the coach...
