So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

IS, maybe a mix up here as I was referring to Australian cricket team not the Wallabies.

So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

Jake White did well without coaching a Super Rugby team before guiding the Boks to win RWC 2007. Now rectifying that with the Brumbies before another likely national appointment. Like being coach of the Australian cricket team in the late 1990s/early 2000s. It would have been hard to screw...

    Waratahs - post-season think

I have no coaching experience whatsoever, but even I can work out that re-starting training for four weeks before the season starts isn't the smartest idea. So for him, with his considerable coaching background, to say that he only worked this out this year then the Tahs' results this year...

    The Rugby Championship trophy

Good looking trophy. If compare it to the Super Rugby trophy, there are some similarities, perhaps to indicate both trophies are for southern hemisphere rugby, but distinct enough for the different competitions. Not as big when you actually see it in person, especially when compared to the Tri...

So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

The Wallabies coach should only be responsible for the Wallabies as that would be more than enough to do without being responsible for all rugby standards in Australia. They would have input into standards, but I would say a Director of Australian Rugby would be the position responsible for...

So, who here thinks Deans is the coach we need?

With hindsight, he was probably the best candidate in 2007. After the less than stellar results between 2008 and mid 2011, it would have made sense to review the Wallabies' RWC 2011 performance before re-appointing him. Agree with the sentiments of the other posts. If the Wallabies do come...

    I'm pretty sure I don't like this

Saw these for the first time in the flesh at the Wallabies Fan Day at Darling Harbour, Sydney today. They certainly stand out after I saw a few on George Street after the event. Looking forward to seeing these in the crowd in the upcoming Test matches. The ARU is onto a winner as the...

    Waratahs 2013

The newly appointed club captain, Pat McCutcheon, was on ABC Grandstand's Front Row Rugby yesterday. Access via this link: http://blogs.abc.net.au/grandstand/2012/08/front-row-rugby-.html The interview starts at 15 minutes. Talks about what the role involves. He acknowledges that there...

    Salary cap shenanigans

I don't recall reading how the ARU found out the alleged breach. Does it have a salary cap auditor like the NRL? Was it a whistleblower?

    Waratahs 2013

This week's The Clubhouse on ABC digital had Alan Gaffney and Benn Robinson on for (separate) interviews. You can listen or download via the link: http://blogs.abc.net.au/grandstand/2012/08/the-clubhouse.html?program=rugby_union_the_clubhouse

    Rebels 2013

I don't know. Per their website, the Reds had 32,640 in 2012. There will probably be some attrition of those, but can't fault them for giving it a go. Perhaps the chance to secure tickets to Lions tour matches as part of a 2013 membership could help. I'm a Tahs ticket holder and I reckon they...

In all likelihood, wouldn't be using an iMac either.

What's wrong with Palu living in the western suburbs?

    Waratahs 2013

Some Brumbies fans seem to have a big chip on their shoulder regarding the Waratahs. Did one of the Tahs steal their lunch or run over their cat? It's a wonder they can stand up straight and/or walk with the burden. :D

    Waratahs 2013

Have the non Wallaby Tahs started any training for 2013 yet? Jake White mentioned on The Clubhouse last week that the Brumbies were working on some training now. Considering the the fitness of the Tahs this year, I would have thought someone at the Tahs would take a leaf out of the Brumbies book...

    Watching Super Rugby On-Line

Looks to be available only in countries without a TV broadcaster as they would have the rights to streaming as well. Hopefully, SANZAR can split the streaming rights from the TV broadcast rights in the future and offer them as separate deals.

    Rebels 2013

Wow. Always imagined you would have lived within spitting distance of Canberra Stadium, attend training, be on first name terms with players, coaches and admin, own all the Brumbies gear etc. Shattered, just like when I was told Santa doesn't exist. :)

    Lions Tour 2013

From the Waratahs website: Not explicit in how it will work, but all will be revealed when the packages are released.

    Waratahs 2013

The Jason Allen interview didn't really reveal anything that a Tahs supporter wouldn't already be aware of. A waste of space. He did come across as evasive in some of his replies. As some have said, if the Tahs are the team rorting the salary cap, then he should go quicksmart. As for Growden...
