Seems to be a lot of hype for this game, hopefully it can live up to it. Rebels first 10/15 mins will determine how much of a chance they have IE; not giving a 9 point head start like they did with the Brumbies.

Yeah the cross over with the GP was terrible. The Saturday night game against the Crusaders was amazing for another reason, the score line, that aside Saturday night games would be fine IF no AFL footy was on at the MCG

the Melbourne Rebels have played one Sunday afternoon game this year, on the same Sunday as the F1 GP. before the game the small park beside AAMI was packed with families and kids running around having a blast. this attitude made the game better and hopefully they will do it at least once a year.

33K is not bad in Melbourne. Italy a couple of years ago was approx. 20k. the problem for Melbourne is Etihad is a terrible rugby stadium. Personally i am hoping for Lions VS Rebels next year at AAMI Park as that will be worth attending. Etihad is not worth going to for a rugby match...
