Hitting the "like" button does not do this post justice IS! Nothing I could possibly add! And a magnificent "tip of the lid" to JAR McKellar - I've booked him - and Football Field Evening - for my send off to the great eternal! Can't find a suitable emoticon - so : Cheers...

Agree with your sentiments Ted! See my predictions earlier post! I hear Scots are pretty confident after the first round game against Kings! I'm still tipping Shore to upset them - just think the Shore boys will have more in the tank to get over Scots! Good luck to all the teams and stay...

Tend to agree a bit with CTPE ( my old Mate CTS??? ) re New vs. Kings but having watched the game against View it underlined that a good big side will generally get over a good small side! So my predictions ( for what they're worth ) : Newington +10 View +7 and I'll go for the upset! Shore...

Milne payed at 11 most of last year - shift out Alan L at half back, Lussick at 10, Abrahams at 12 and there's nowhere to go! For me - Tepai and Milne in the centres for the 1st's! We'll see eh! :)

Yes G-chew - probably a bit harsh, especially when I look back on some of the dribble I have posted!!! In fact, you've got me thinking : surely I would have some credits for RPL ( Recognised Prior Learning ) to put towards a mature age entry in a tertiary qualification in dribble? Associate...

From your original post HJ : "In an attempt to make the tie breaker something that is meaningful to teenage boys, the tie breaker will be based on a week by week assessment of post match afternoon teas. Points for the Captain's speech have been limited to 5 % of the total mark, Other marking...

Going by the after match speeches and from what I've seen so far it would appear that Lachlan Cannell has the gig! And he's doing a great job! Will be confirmed at the Newington rugby launch on Friday week. Watch this space!:)

But then we experts (?) could vote some of them off each week in a nationally televised primetime reality show! ;)

I don't think this is unduly biased GPSrow. Most other contributors have posted teams with 4 from Newington - you have added Josh Mitchell, which is fair enough IMO based on his current form and his game last weekend at View. I haven't seen a lot of the other contenders though - good to see...

pick and go said: ↑ .. then you have a whole list of players who have left, bill pendlebury, michael cochrane, tumua setefano, kurt nuske, isaac rokeby. When all these boys were in the team which was U14's, they were the standouts of the comp (went through undefeated). .... What's happened...

What's happened to Bill Pendlebury? Is he still playing rugby and if so - where? I knew him when he was at the Vikings club in Wollongong before his family relocated to QLD! He was a very promising lad! I hope he's still with our game although he was a pretty handy Oz-baller as well! :)

In the event of a tie this will sort the men from the boys! Good call on the Captains speech! In addition to match reports, can we have HJ's above criteria assessed as well? :)
