Hearing that TSS will have a real bokke flavour to them in 2018. Heavy recruiting out of the Republic recently

The AIC bloke was Lawson Creighton from Padua, now at Brothers. I agree - the GPS is developing players from a far broader base than ever before and I think that's great for rugby

Can confirm. He's done a Kalyn Ponga and signed with the Cowboys, and they've brought him home to Cairns to play with the Northern Pride U18s. He recently ran an 11.02 from a standing start, which would have taken 1st place in the National U16s last year. He is rapid.

I'm out of the loop at the moment, but my unofficial understanding is that he's gone home to FNQ. Will update here when I find out for sure.

Out of curiousity I did a check on the Queensland GPS forum's season hits over the last few years. 2011: 97k views 2012: 368k views 2013: 462k views 2014: 574k views 2015: 462k views 2016: 474k views 2017: 421k views 2018: 6k views I wonder how many views FoxSports gets from their coverage of...

National U18s Sevens Championships are being hosted at Ballymore this weekend with plenty of GPS boys involved. GPS reps in QLD Red: Tyrone Metusela-Suapaia (GT), Daejarn Asi (BGS), Mitch Wood (NC), Cooper Whiteside (IGS), Jack Bowyer-Bowen (BBC), Dennis Waight (BGS), Glen Vaihu (GT), Oscar...

I had a chat with the show's director this afternoon and was really impressed. He seemed to have a genuine interest in promoting the competition "seriously". It appears that FoxSports have chucked a hissy over Nudgee hosting the show on their own YouTube channel but Rugbypass.com appear to have...

I've been loving 'The Season' on FoxSports. Offering a great insight into what is an incredible rugby culture. To Nudgee staff, both lurkers and members of this forum, well done for making this happen. Hopefully it inspires other schools to follow suit!

Abandoned. Just too much effort required, though I might tinker with it before the start of next season. The team I had in mind was: 1. Egan Siggs 2. Rhys van Nek 3. Zane Nonggor (returning in 2018) 4. Tom van der Schyff 5. Trevor Hosea 6. Ethan Bullemor 7. Hayden Moseley 8. Reno...

In 2012, Sam Greene won the Premiership as the best flyhalf in the comp. In 2013, Bobby Tuttle did likewise. In 2014, Mack Mason led a superstar Churchie side from flyhalf. In 2015, Brodie Croft took Churchie back-to-back. In 2016, Isaac Crone won a premiership with the #10 jersey, while...

Unfortunately I've head to drop everything and head to Fiji this week for work. Life's tough, right? Poring over every minute of every school's season looking for highlights can be quite time consuming. I've got the video at 11 minutes and will be chopping it down to just the best bits...

I've got my team finished, just constructing a little video to showcase it. It was a tough year to select. Some positions, like wing, hooker and #13, had very little depth despite those being among the most well-stocked in previous seasons. Though I hate to do it, I've picked a few guys out of...

It's official: Moseley holds the record with 27 in 6. Any more from the weekend's match with State High extends that. Check out the tape - https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=tjulvCSBXZ4 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Fraser McReight with 25 at 3.8 per 80 minutes. Moseley, if 26 in 6 is correct, has 4.9 per 80 (that's not including his yellow cards - two or three this season) Having commentated three of his games and watched a fourth this year, that seems more than a little high. I'm told there is a...

Yep, my mistake - wrong Nudgee Nicky! If Nigel is the same Nigel Hunt who passed away this year, he listed his graduating year as 2007 on his Facebook. Hymel and Kirisome are cousins, as reported in the Australian in March last year. I made the assumption that it was on the Hunt side...
