Sunwolves vs Waratahs - Saturday 2nd July 2016

Same weight but 5cm shorter. 109 kg / 191 cm is okay for a six.

Sunwolves vs Waratahs - Saturday 2nd July 2016

You're right. Winning bonus points are required. I think both Aussie teams may actually need 2 winning BPs each unless the Sadists, Chiefs or Highlanders lose unexpectedly next week. Go Rebels, Reds and Jaguares. A big ask for the Tahs to get a winning BP against the Hurricanes but on their...

But for the small matter of the ball being 40 meters downfield.

Sunwolves vs Waratahs - Saturday 2nd July 2016

Two wins each by the Brumbies and Tahs will probably see both in the finals so there's plenty to play for.

    Like his career, really.

You and your poison chalices! Don't forget, Tahs v Chiefs, 45-25.

Brumbies vs Reds, Friday 1st of July, GIO Stadium Canberra

Shame it doesn't shine as far as the selectors.

How are the finals a poison chalice in any competitive sport? You never know, they may draw a Japie team and go through.

Wallabies vs England, Sydney, 3rd Test, 25 June @ 8:00pm

    Well put, galumay. Go Wallabies!

I doubt they'd notice, Hawko. Their fans I mean. The actual All Blacks understand defensive patterns.

    That's how innovation rolls.

Groan. It's not because the 12 can't defend at 12. Lilo is perfecly able to defend at 12. But maybe you're right. Defensive systems are confoundingly complex these days. I pine for the days of jumpers for goalposts. Marvelous.

In the absence of Tomane, Morahan could be the fast winger we need.

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

That's 6:5. I think you'd have to rate them actual favourites to want any of that. Personally I reckon the Wobs should still be favourites, and with my finger held firmly in the breeze I'd say 2:3 favourites, at which price the Poms would be $2.50 in a perfect book. My personal rule for...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

Conventional wisdom would have no place in tests for Hooper or McMahon. Neither is as strong over the ball as Pocock (who is?) but now people are saying they're not strong enough over the ball to play seven at all. And neither is considered heavy enough for a conventional six or eight. 6.5s...

Wallabies v England in Melbourne, 18 June

The thing about McMahon is that he's just starting out. He'll get better, and probably bigger. He's 100kg now and could easily end up at 105. There have been plenty of highly effective sixes and eights at 105kg, and I bet that McMahon will play bigger than his size at that weight as well...

That's how our defensive system works. One playmaker defends deepish on the short side wing to help manage contestible kicks and provide support at the back if required. One of the reasons Horne gets picked is his added starch in the line defending at 12.

Kepu is close to the most block-busting forward ball runner in the country.

    Lilo played at 12.
