RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I wonder if Lee will be fit enough to start? Apart from 13 the Wale isn't actually too badly off now. I think I would be concerned about Jenkins against Kepu. Two very evenly matched sides though, I certainly wouldn't price it up 4/11 Aus Versus 11/5 Wales. But the market has got everything...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I don't want to resurrect the whole thing, but a certain type of tackle has become increasingly rare since someone was red carded during a game rather than afterwards. If they want to stamp it out, someone needs to see red on the field, IMHO.

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

It is an expensive trip from Scotland to Newcastle.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I have always supported Wales if it doesn't affect Ireland. Didn't in protest after the Rolland/ Warburton business, but that is all forgotten now. At the end of the day, we all play in the same league. The same doesn't apply to the Scots of course, hopefully Samoa/ Japan can knock them out, not...

Another factor is that it will be close to a home game for Ireland in terms of support.

I think he will but with only 12 colleagues on the pitch.

They have been red carded after the event which doesn't send out quite the same message of deterrence. Jake Ball affected a terrible one on Niall Ronan which basically finished Ronan's career he was out so long. Hooper should get a week and so should Burgess.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I doubt mine would be a majority view outside of the Principality.
  9. the plastic paddy

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

Australia could have been reduced to 12 men and they still would have won that game, it was an Orcshambles.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

I am not a Welsh supporter but I support Wales as long as it doesn't affect Ireland, and, injuries permitting, I fancy them to beat SA.

Just because the laws as they stand are not enforced does not mean that you are not meant to bind onto a ruck/ maul with your arms rather than just hit it with your shoulder, especially around the head/ neck area. I was crediting the intelligent and excellent Hooper as having been provoked to...
  12. the plastic paddy

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

Anyway, back to the game, France are massive favourites and Ireland are lucky to be in a position to be able to play them to top the group.

That Quote about Woodward and three world cups is classic Jones, what a complete tool the man is. And his list of 'great' players is first class..

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

Should the actual laws of the game not apply then? I think Hooper flew in thinking Brown had elbowed your man in the face. It was not even close to being legal and completely anomalous for a player as good and disciplined as Hooper. I have no axe to grind, but, given Brown didn't elbow the...

RWC: IRE v FRA (POOL D) Mon 12th@2:45am

Whereas the Welsh pet Barnes ignores clear red card offences and manages to award a penalty in favour of a man who has collapsed a scrum because his Achilles has ruptured.

RWC: IRE v ITA (Olympic Stadium): POOL D

Any sign of a France V Ireland thread?

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I thought the balance of Australia's play was very impressive. You were self contained and happy to play the percentages when the game demanded it. When Ford briefly threatened to get England moving early in the second half I thought there might be a bit of a panic but you carefully reined back...

RWC: AUS v ENG (Twickenham): POOL A; 6am (AEDT) Sunday 4 October

I thought he came in retaliating for some use of the elbow by one of the Orcs, myself. It was yellow at most, probably warrants a warning like Wood on Bandy legs and another incident that will not be mentioned.

RWC: AUS v WAL (Twickenham): POOL A; 2:45am (AEDT) Sunday 11 October

They weren't from the second Cotter announced his side, but I thought SA were laboured. I would fancy Wales or Ireland to beat SA.
